After lunch we're meeting aunt and uncle at a NT place for a walk and coffee and then they've invited us back to their house for a meal, so I'm looking forward to that :). The weather is dull but at least it's dry.

We did a Mr T order last night but they can't deliver until tomorrow lunchtime. Our food levels have become critically low so it's lucky we're going out for dinner tonight! DH nipped out and bought some bread and milk to tide us over until tomorrow.

I hope everyone is having a good Saturday so far :).

Sounds like a really nice afternoon and evening to look forward to:T. It will be nice for DH not to have to cook tonight too if he is still feeling tired.

Did you buy a supermarket delivery pass that someone (may have been me) suggested? if you have regular home deliveries from the same supermarket it can save ££££s. I'm not sure about the setup at Tesco, the only supermarket I'd never shop at, but I've had them from the other big ones when I went through phases of using them exclusively. I know without a pass I can get a delivery from Sainsburys on a Wednesday around lunchtime for as little as 50p(probably no use for you although DH could receive the order and put it away for you). Sainsbury's used to be very expensive but has just been named as th cheapest of the 'big 4'. At the weekend delivery would have been up to about £6.50 without a pass:eek:
  • Glad you’re feeling better. I do the accounts for the 3 companies I work for on software so a doddle for VAT returns, but aware these have a monthly subscription cost. Can OH set up a spreadsheet to do it as he goes along or my preferred option pen and paper? Sounds like he’s a procrastinator like my OH Am I correct? I sometimes feel like :wall: with mine.

I’m pleased you’re getting used to the hours. I find it passes very quickly. Won’t be long until the half term holidays - we break up on 14th for a week.

Thanks FS :). We have our deliveries from Mr T so I'll need to look up the info on their delivery pass and see if it would work for us.

Thanks Arsenal :). DH is a grade A procrastinator. He's meant to keep the records as he goes along but doesn't, sigh.

  • I had a good time at the NT place yesterday with aunt and uncle. We had a short walk in the gardens and coffee in the cafe afterwards. Then we went back to their house for a meal. I always enjoy seeing them :). I did feel very tired though so I was glad to come home and go to bed.

I didn't sleep very well though because I found myself thinking about Mum and feeling sad :(. It's probably because Mum and stepdad's house has had three viewings and I know I'm going to feel a great sense of loss when it's sold and someone else is living there :(.

Today I've had a slight sore throat and have been feeling very tired, so I decided to rest all day instead of doing my assignment as I need to be fit for school tomorrow. My tutor replied to my email and said I couldn't help being ill so not to worry about the assigment being late. I can only do what I can do. Anyway hopefully the rest and an early night will make me feel better as I won't get paid if I don't go in tomorrow.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend :).

Get yourself an early night and try to sleep off the sore throat. Drink loads of water - I do this to fight off the lurgy and it seems to do the trick. The down side is I'm forever going to the loo :rotfl:
