Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I find I use easyJet for my flights to Inverness these days. They do not weigh your cabin suitcase but it has to conform to their size conditions details of which which is on their website. Unless you have one of their loyalty type cards or have paid for an extra legroom seat they don't allow you to bring an extra handbag on board. Mind you I see lots of people carrying on a cabin suitcase plus a duty free shopping bag and they don't seem to be questioned !Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I am also going to Scotland later in the year and thinking of flying.
Prompted by you I looked up flights and found them reasonable.
I am happy not to choose a seat but just wondered if they weigh your cabin bag and handbag?
Edited as just noticed OH is now sick! Wishing him a speedy recovery.
Thanks INOD. I usually fly EasyJet and they have a fairly generous hand luggage allowance. I don't think they weigh your bag but I could be wrong (check the website blurb). You can only take one item of hand luggage so a handbag would count as your hand luggage. I wear a jacket with lots of pockets, stuff my pockets with everything in my handbag and then put my empty handbag in my hand luggage case :rotfl:. I'm good at travelling light and it's easier with summer clothes.

DH kept me awake half the night because he had painful stomach cramps and was sick in the night
. He doesn't seem any better this morning. He can keep water down but taking two paracetamol has just made him throw up
.
I'm going to pop into town soon and buy some invalid food; my four standbys are soup, grapes, jelly and yoghurt which are the only four things I could face eating when I had flu and my tummy bug. DH can't eat anything yet but I could do with some invalid food and when he can eat he'll appreciate it.
I feel sleep deprived and my tummy feels tender, but I can eat (a limited range of foods) and I'm not in pain like DH.
We did a Mr T order yesterday afternoon but they couldn't deliver until Friday  so I need provisions for today.
At least we're not spending money when we're ill :rotfl: apart from the £90 spent on our food order yesterday .
I hope everyone else is feeling healthier than we are. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Can't one of your sons go out to do the shopping? You'll still be feeling a bit weak and although you say you'd love to get out of the house it's not exactly the best thing for you to have to go shopping and carry it home.
I often find a banana is palatable when we feel ill. They're nutritious too, all the top tennis players seem to eat them at changeovers;)
I hope you'll be feeling 100% soon and that your sons don't catch whatever it was.0 -
