Great news on the trip to Scotland.

Do you think you've had norovirus OBL? I'm beginning to think that's what I had. I hope you feel better soon.
As long as I can function that's the main thing, even if I don't feel 100 per cent, because I don't want to waste any more time on the sofa feeling ill. But it's very frustrating to be ill over Christmas and New Year and not be able to enjoy it as much as we would have liked.

The main thing though is that you all managed to enjoy a lovely family Christmas before this latest illness struck:j. I know you yourself were still battling that cold when you were preparing but it sounds like the family Christmas Day with all your 'boys, the visit to Stepdad's fianc!e's home and then the family party at yours will all have made some really happy memories for you.
The holiday in Scotland will do you and DH the world of good and give you something definite to look forward to:beer:. I love your yearly targets too and, knowing you as we do by now, I've no doubt that, unforseen events permitting, you'll achieve them all (and some;)):T:T:T0 -
Scotland will be lovely and something to look forward to like the others have said. Sorry you aren't feeling so well though, what an awful start for you.
Great goal setting, sure you will achieve them. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0 -

Thanks FS. Yes Christmas Day, Boxing Day and our family party were lovely so at least we have those three days to look back on. And a nice trip out yesterday.
I think the Scottish holiday will do us both a world of good.

Thanks Nicnak. Yes it's not how I would have chosen to spend the first day of 2020 as I was hoping to go out for a short walk followed by a family party in the evening. But it can't be helped.

I'm feeling a bit fed up currently. DH and DS1 are watching a film I don't like, but reading hurts my head and I feel too tired to do housework/organising in the house
. So I'm feeling bored and fed up.
I've put the dishwasher on and put a wash in the machine as we're all running out of tee shirts, but now I feel tired and a bit rough. But I also feel bored and restless. It doesn't help that we should have been leaving to go to the family party now.
I'm determined to go into town on the bus tomorrow as I'm sick to death of being cooped up in the house watching tv. It's not my favourite activity at the best of times and I've spent four days doing it since Christmas.
Anyway sorry for a moany post. Tomorrow I'll feel more cheerful I expect as I'll be able to get out of the house and do some things I want to do, like buy half price Christmas cards, pay a few cheques in, pick up a parcel that I bought online in the sales, etc. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Hope you're well enough to go out to tomorrow HH. I know only too well how awful it is to be cooped up
You've got a great list of goals there and they are all achievable. Glad you've got Scotland to look forward toI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Sorry to read you're still not feeling 100% and that DH is also ill. It is frustrating when you're on holiday and ill. I worked at a company many years ago where if that happened and you got a note from the doc you could have your holidays back, but I don't imagine that's common these days, mainly because you can't get to see a GP
Your list of 2020 goals are great and as you say do-able. Nothing worse than knowing you're not going to achieve something even as you're writing it - ask me how I know :rotfl:
So glad you have a holiday to look forward to. We all need something on the horizon to keep us going. xx0
