You've got a great list of goals there and they are all achievable. Glad you've got Scotland to look forward to
Thanks SA. I know it's much worse for you as you've got your broken leg. The trouble is that in the term time I often feel too tired to do very much, so I just go to school and come home. This holiday I had so many things I'd been looking forward to doing and most of them aren't happening because I'm ill
.
Sorry to read you're still not feeling 100% and that DH is also ill. It is frustrating when you're on holiday and ill. I worked at a company many years ago where if that happened and you got a note from the doc you could have your holidays back, but I don't imagine that's common these days, mainly because you can't get to see a GP
Your list of 2020 goals are great and as you say do-able. Nothing worse than knowing you're not going to achieve something even as you're writing it - ask me how I know :rotfl:
So glad you have a holiday to look forward to. We all need something on the horizon to keep us going. xx. We've never both been ill, in fact DH is hardly ever ill it's usually me who's ill. It's just very unfortunate. That company sound amazing, no chance of that at a school sadly.
Hope you manage to get out and about tomorrow.
Love the goals, and Happy New Yearxx
Thanks Jwil.

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling any better . I went out for a walk today as I can't stand being stuck in . It's a shame you couldn't go to the party , I do hope you and DH are feeling better tomorrow.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.0

I'm sorry to read that you and your OH are under the weather and you can't attend your family party.
. Hopefully you can get out in the fresh tomorrow and blow away the cobwebs. I was pleased to read though that your actual Christmas was a good one with all your boys at home.
You have made a great list of resolutions and all sound eminently doable so good luck with them!:)
I'm glad you have your Scottish trip to look forward to. I think your sister doesn't live too far from my DD's place. That was a good price on the tickets. We booked tickets over Christmas to Inverness for May and they were dearer than yours but we have to go over the Whit weekend to fit in with little nephew's school holidays so the price always rockets up!:(
I hope you feel better this evening.

Thank you Sunshine. I do hate being stuck indoors as it can lead to negative thoughts taking over. But I don't feel up to a walk or going anywhere on the bus as I feel worse than yesterday. I feel very upset at missing the family party as they tend to only happen once a year

Thank you SSG. I do feel upset about missing the family party as some relations are down that I tend to only see at Christmas.
I'm just so fed up with feeling ill and being trapped indoors. At least my actual Christmas was good though.
My sister lives about forty minutes from Inverness. It is lovely up there and I'm looking forward to going. We're going in August which is usually an expensive time, but my sister is good at finding cheap deals, I don't know how she does it. She avoids Mondays and Fridays and we haven't paid for hold luggage or booked seats, so that helps to save money.

I'm not sure if it was Noro,it could have been from the symptoms,I'm definitely getting my appetite back slowly but for for unhealthy food and odd things, I've eaten Cherry liqueurs today and the night before last all I could face eating were Yorkshire puddings:rotfl: i did take a small roast to work yesterday and did make myself eat it but I felt queasy afterwards,I think I would have gotten over it all much quicker if I hadn't had to go to work in between times, the cold is definitely on its way out but I just feel quite weak and tiredOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8940

DH has just been sick  so he must have caught it from me
. So I guess I had a sickness bug and not food poisoning. At least I know what's wrong with DH now and if he's like me he'll feel able to function at least after a couple of days.

Good news about your holiday
I am also going to Scotland later in the year and thinking of flying.
Prompted by you I looked up flights and found them reasonable.
I am happy not to choose a seat but just wondered if they weigh your cabin bag and handbag?
Edited as just noticed OH is now sick! Wishing him a speedy recovery. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
