Well we have finally got snow although traffic is moving as I live on a bus route. I went out twice yesterday, once walking and once in the car.
It sounds like you had a very successful shopping trip. Good on you for buying yourself a treat. I bet it has been years since you bought an impetuous dress. Oh, I like that phrase! I am always impressed in your charity shop purchases. I think they are always worth a rummage.
It's not surprising you have been worried and I don't think you would be out of order to explain that to him when he gets home.
Hopefully you will have a good day
Take care
Pauline
Thanks Pauline
. I'm glad you managed to get out a couple of times, despite the snow. It will do you good.
Impetuous dress is a lovely phrase

We managed to survive a few days without one when we had the new bathroom back in the summer. I bought some flannels and a washing up bowl. Makes you realise how you take everyday things like that for granted. It will seem so luxurious to have a shower when it's fixed.
DD went on holiday to Turkey one year, supposedly for 2 weeks, and eventually returned 3 months later! Needless to say it involved a waiter.
Don't feel guilty about the new dress it's not as if you buy one every week, and if it makes you feel good then it's worth its weight in gold
:eek::eek: to DD and the Turkish waiter.
I haven't bought a dress for about 5 years SA, so I guess I shouldn't feel too guilty, but I haven't mentioned it to DH yet

Does the dress make you feel good? If so to quote an advert "priceless". I am sure your DH will agree with me. (Even if he knows nothing about it - ever)0

Been gone 48 hrs from your diary and it's all been going on. Boo to the shower , a good old strip wash in the bathroom sink comes to mind . Thank goodness to EF .
DS2 will be having a great time , but I understand your worries .
As for the new dress , if it makes you feel beautiful and you love it then it was meant to be .

.
Haven't heard from DS2 since midnight last night but hopefully he's ok.
I went through another 8 bags of DS2's rubbish and only found 37p . As ALL of our bins are full to the brim a trip to the tip was involved .
Followed by Mr M for milk and a few other bits (we left £12.21 poorer, but £4 of that was a large tin of Roses for Christmas). I also topped up DS3's phone (another £10 poorer) and then we went to the garden centre to get some vouchers for Christmas presents (£40 poorer).
So I'm feeling poor but organised

Our builder rang and should be able to come out on Tuedday morning to investigate the shower leak. Strip washes, shudder, if only our bathroom wasn't so cold _pale_.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Why is it that bathrooms always seem to be the coldest room in the house when it is the one room where everyone lands up naked (or very smelly!)? I had this discussion almost 50 years ago with a centre heating person & didn't get a sensible answer then & haven't had one since.0

Yes I agree, bathrooms really all always coldSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0 -
Fingers crossed that the builder can find the problem quickly HHOD.
Your post about washing your hair with a jug made me laugh, that was me Thursday and Friday night :rotfl: xxMummytogirls x0 -
There's a further story about the Turkish waiter - DD's friend brought hers back with her, they got married, had 3 kids, then split up. At least DD didn't go down that route - phew!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
