  • I'd rather not spend the money beanie as our supplies are dwindling and we've still got presents to buy :o. I'll rest for another half hour and then do somthing easy like frozen pies and baked potatoes in the oven.

Another early night is called for tonight followed by a lie in. TGIF :T

Just catching up with your diary after a couple of days. DS2 appears to be having a great time - perhaps you can find out what he’s been up to via his brothers if he confides in them :D

Enjoy your early night if it happens!

  • Thanks SSG, SA and Abba :).

He confides in DS3 but DS3 doesn't always let on to us! Secretive, the pair of them :o. DS1 on the other hand always tells us what he's doing.

My early night will happen but I may getcwoken up in the night by a message from DS2 .

We have water pouring through a hole in our kitchen ceiling now, it's always something :(. Luckily I've just had a shower and washed my hair as our only shower is now off limits . We'll have to call our builder in the morning and tell him it's an emergency :(.

I could do without this new stress in my life :(.

  • I hate it when I can't shower, I think of a hot shower as my daily luxury :(.

A couple of years ago our boiler broke and we couldn't afford to fix it, so we had cold showers for about three weeks until we earnt enough to buy a new boiler. Luckily it was the summer but it was still pretty miserable :(

At least we have an emergency fund now, so can hopefully afford to get it fixed, as long as our builder has time to come round soon. I don't want to spend the emergency fund, but I guess that is what it's for :o.

On a more positive note DS2A sent us a photo of an ornate building! We asked what it was and he said "Cathedral" :rotfl: It's fascinating getting a few insights into what he's doing :D.

  • I suppose I shouldn't say "it never rains but it pours" but that isn't very supportive. But I was trying to make you smile.

It's exciting now you are hearing from your son. Perhaps you will get a better night's sleep.

Are you out on your coffee Saturday tomorrow? I have just typed that and realised I have a stone cold mug of tea by my side!!

I hope your weekend goes well and the builder can fix it cheaply

    Take care honey

Yes I'm going for my weekly coffee and charity shop treat day tomorrow, I feel like I need it after this week :D.

I hope you have a good weekend too Pauline. Let us know what you get up to.
