Congrats on 2 years debt-free, HHoD.

I'm another fan of the de-humidifyer. I bought ours nearly 20 years ago & it's still running!

HH, no there’s no cover as such for me - they’re shuffling odour team of staff around and doubling some children up - I’m getting sick pay but no one to cover my complete job. Or any other job HLTAs cover if a teacher is off but support staff haven’t been covered fully for a good few years now. Sad times..... They did actually take a new member of staff to take one of my children part of the time but other staff left at the same time I went off and haven’t been replaced. So our team that move around certain children is down.

Well that isn't good but it still isn't your fault so you shouldn't feel guilty about being off. I should feel lucky that they're paying me to cover for a TA I guess, although they only do it if they're off for a long time.

  • What a wonderful anniversary :T:T:T:T

You should be very proud of yourselves for that !
I agree with others who said that time flies. I'm relatively new to your diary (I read it all at one go to catch up once I found it:eek:) so the immediacy of reading of your progress to debt-freedom in 'real time' was sort of lost on me. 2 whole years of debt-freedom, it must feel so good. Well done to you both:j:beer:

The time your DS has been away seems to have flown by too, although probably not for you as I know how much you miss him.

Congratulations, that has flown by :j:D:T
Wow happy 2 years DF HH - we had been MF for three years on that same date so absolutely identify with the time flying thing - amazing where it goes. I think to some extent we are still getting used to the difference as well!

We LOVE our dehumidifier - it doesn't get used daily any more but we try to run it during the day to give the bedrooms & bathroom the benefit and then overnight to help the front room, a couple of days a week, and it definitely makes a difference. When I last checked on running costs of ours it was around 25p a day running around the clock - I suspect that has increased a little since though.

Congratulations on your 2 year debt free anniversary :T Do you think all the boys will be home with your for Christmas? DD finishes uni on 12th but is staying on at the house because it's easier to get into work from there.

Good to read DH has some ideas about the business. I really hope it picks up for him and you. xx

    Thanks all of you :).

They'd better be home for Christmas TF2 or I'll be very upset. I'm sure DS3 will come home for Christmas, we love it in our house :D.

  • School was fine today although two lunchtime staff are still off sick, but at least it was dry again.

I got home and worked on my assignment but had to stop after an hour as I felt like my head was going to burst :(. I'll try and do a bit more on it tomorrow afternoon but I don't think I'm going to finish it by Friday :(. I missed a week of working on it because of my cold so I'll have to explain that to my tutor.

Apart from that I really haven't done much apart from shower and cook dinner. Hopefully an early night will make me feel less tired, so I'll go straight to bed after watchingThe Apprentice. It's a rare night that my light goes out after 10.30pm, in fact it normally goes out at 10pm on a school night as I can't cope otherwise :o. It's my last day of cover on Friday :( so I want to be full of energy for that.

Money spent today was on two bananas and some own brand cleaning liquid from the C00p. I've cut down to one coke a day and I've been bringing them in from home :A.

I hope everyone has had a good Wednesday :).

Morning HHD :) I'm sure the tutor will understand if you've not been well. I think you're doing great. I assume this year's course is a lot heavier and harder plus you're putting in so many hours at school now volunteering, covering staff and working. I'm sure it will all pay off in the end though :)

Well done on taking your own coke into school ;):T Have a lovely day. xx

    I agree:T

I know during your earlier course you were superquick getting your assignments done and submitted:beer: so your tutor already knows you and what you are capable of. Life gets in the way of our best-laid plans sometimes and your tutor will be very aware of that.

Wishing you a good and hopefully rain-free day at school:)
