I bought that coop deal the other day as well, it's good! They regularly do similar but ours quite often sells out of bits of it which is annoying.
Thanks Jwil. I'm going to look out for future deals.

Thanks SA. I'm feeling a bit better now. DS3 is fine apart from his roof leaking onto his bed twice .

Yesterday I just read and did a bit of laundry as I felt too tired and full of cold to go out.
I felt a bit better today and as it was a sunny day for once it seemed criminal to stay indoors. So we went for an autumn walk at our local NT place this afternoon and had a coffee in the cafe. I succumbed to a few second hand books in the bookshopbut at least I didn't spend anything yesterday. We've decided that next time we go to a NT place we'll take our travel cups with coffee/hot chocolate in to save money and I'll try and avoid the bookshop. We had a lovely afternoon though.
Before we went we bought some imperfect frozen berries from Mr M at £3 for 1kg and some squeezable honey for DH's porridge for about £2.
VEGETABLE UPDATE:
Yesterday DH cooked a curry that included spring onions, carrots and parsnips. Today I cooked a curry that included a tin of tomatoes, pinto beans, carrots, baby corn and split peas. (Pinto beans aren't a vegetable but I've included them because they sound healthy).

Well done on the veggies

Unfortunately not. The landlord sent a roofer out after the first leak who went up on the roof and supposedly fixed it. But then on Friday night there was heavy rain and the water was dripping through the ceiling onto DS3's bed and pillow. The room is too small for him to move his bed so it it rains tonight he may have to sleep on the sofa. Anyway he emailed the landlord but nobody came out today. Hopefully they can fix it tomorrow.

Thanks DIA. It will save money to take the travel cups and if we wrap up warm it will be okay.

I bought six items for £5: B!rds 3ye chicken burgers, chicken fillets, fish fingers, Alph@b!tes, frozen peas and some fancy ice lollies that DS1 loves. The normal price would have been £10.20 so I thought that was a bit of a bargain to help fill up the freezer.
Do you have a Coop loyalty card? If you register it online and open an account, they email details every week or so of all their deals and offers including whats in the £5 deal.0 -
