Chucking it down of rain here.
Have a good day.
That's a shame BeanieI hope your weather improves soon. We're lucky here and have sunshine at the moment

It's a good suggestion Arsenal. I think I'll wait and see as our lives are quite busy and complicated at the moment and although I miss the little fella, life is simpler now. I don't know how I'll feel in a few months time, so it is something I could consider then.

Well my money calculations were as depressing as I expected
. I transferred £100 out of my my Mr T account so I could pay our weekly NP0w3r bill and so our accounts aren't empty
. We need to earn money fast or we'll have to raid the EF a bit more.

HHoD - I absolutely hate having to raid the emergency fund. It seems to take such a long time to build up even quite a modest amount, say a couple of grand, but with many emergencies seeming to come in at around the £200 to £500 mark, those precious funds can quickly start to deplete. I suppose the only thing we can say on the positive front is that it's better that the funds were there, as it's still better than additional borrowing.
I'm supposed to be cracking on with my batch-cooking morning, but just popped on with emergency fund sympathies.

Thanks Foxgloves
. I hate raiding the EF too and only do it as a very last resort if there's no other option available! Enjoy your batch cooking

Blimey I had a hectic day at work!
One colleague is on his honeymoon (in the term time!!!!) and the other one was late, so I was on my own with ninety Year 2 children for twenty minutes .
Not a very safe scenario in my book . I was scanning the playground constantly looking for issues so it wasn't very relaxing!
Anyway luckily my colleague arrived before I had to take ninety children up for their lunch on my own. I had them all neatly lined up in their classes and I had three volunteers putting the equipment away for me when she arrived, so it was all under control though.
This afternoon I plan to start on my penultimate assignment, but I'm just relaxing at the moment with an ice cold diet coke.

My head would have been on a swivel looking after 90 children! Did the head teacher know that was the situation? If so, I'd say coping with that is another big tick in your favour although I really think they should have found somebody to be with you from a safety point of view.
Hope hubby manages to get some invoices out so you don't have to dip into the EF. If your DS's are anything like DD when she comes home they probably eat their way through their keep plus more
Hope the assignment is an interesting subject for you. xx0 -

Thanks TF2. Well the head teacher presumably knows that one colleague is on their honeymoon, but probably didn't know about my other colleague being late. I wasn't too pleased about the situation, but I wasn't able to leave the children alone and ask for back up. Plus I kept expecting my colleague to arrive any minute . Anyway I was pleased with myself for coping, but it's not a desirable situation so I hope it doesn't happen again!
My assignment is on play and leisure so topical and interesting.

I worked on my assignment for about an hour and forty minutes and I may be half way through it, it's hard to tell sometimes. I've made some good progress on it anyway so I'm pleased about that
.
My tutor has updated my online portfolio and I've reached 82% progress on the course after the school visit, so I'm getting closer to completion.
