Thunderstorms and heavy rain hear too - must have been fairly close to us as there were some violent bangs with lightning straight after. Everywhere smells lovely and fresh now though.
Lol my dh thinks it’s a day out of I go on a school trip and can’t quite get what hard work it can be. My best memory was on a train I was 1:1 with a year 6 child with severe adhd quite a few years ago - so there was never a still or dull moment. Child wanted to go to the loo for umpteenth time - I said no because we were in a station and you can’t flush the loo as everything empties on the track.. :rotfl::rotfl: child spent the rest of the journey with nose against the window looking for poop on the track.....claimed to have spotted LOADS :rotfl:

Hey you beat me on steps yesterday as I was working from home and didn't have the 7,000 steps each way to and from work :)

Fingers crossed you'll soon be in a TA job and getting more hours and money :)

Thanks SA :). It's unusual for my to beat you on steps :rotfl:.

  • I had a good morning at school today, I feel like I'm bonding well with everyone at the moment :).

When I got home I finished my penultimate assignment and emailed it to my tutor, so I've only got one tutorial and one assignment to go now :A.

I'm going to start my final assignment before the last tutorial because I've got two weeks with nothing course related to do now. I can use the text book, plus my own experience and ideas to do the assignment. Then I can always add to it if anything really useful is said in the tutorial. That way I can email my final assignment to my tutor by the end of July and I'll have finished the course then :D.

I feel quite tired now after a busy week so I'm going to enjoy relaxing over the weekend I think.

I hope everyone is having a good Friday :).

  • I was a bit restless last night in bed, I'm not sure why, I just felt a bit tense for some reason.

Stepdad wanted to meet for coffe this morning so that went okay. We chatted for about an hour and a half.

Then I bought two pairs of trousers to wear around the house :o. Does that sound insane? I don't like to wear my nice clothes around the house as they get dirty and screwed up plus will wear out more quickly, so I usually wear old baggy jeans, but they're making me feel too hot in this weather. So I bought a couple of pairs of cotton trousers in the sale for just wearing at home. They cost £11 and £14 so were quite cheap. I felt guilty at spending more money on clothes :o but my jeans have been making me feel unbearably hot and I don't want to ruin my good quality chinos.

Am I the only person who does this?

I spent about a tenner in Mr T after this on fruit and veg as we don't seem to have much in the house. I'm feeling like our food spending is out of control at the moment as we spent £94 on Tuesday  and I still had to buy more fruit and veg :(. Since DS3 got home our food spend has shot up :).

I got home mid afternoon and went through two cardbox boxes in the toy void. I managed to get rid of most on one box to the bin or charity pile. The second box had sentimental stuff like cards, letters, children's school books, etc, which I'd like to keep DH was delighted as I found some old D&D books of his that he thought he'd lost. The sentimental paperwork is now in a plastic box with a lid where it will be better protected.

I have got rid of a lot of stuff from the voids but I still feel like we have far too much stuff in there :(. Maybe in the summer holiday I'll have time to go through it again and get rid of a few more things. I could ask the DC to look through the stuff I'm keeping for them as they may not want all of it.

I feel really tired now so I'm sitting down to catch up on diaries whilst DH cooks dinner. I hope he hurries up because I'm starving!

I hope everyone is having a good Saturday :).

I also often change into 'house' clothes which for me are my older scruffy clothes as I like to keep my better clothes 'good'.

Me too, I change into 'old' clothes when I get home from work this is partly because I'm a messy moo with food but also the cat is very long haired and I'm always covered in bits of his fur and also his claws sometimes catch my clothes :o
