Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I got lots done yesterday :T. The shower curtain looks like new after soaking in a bucket with some bleach, I dried two loads of laundry in the garden and hand washed DS1's slippers so peace is restored. I also found some lovely photos of my mum. DH managed to put plywood on half of the toilet floor so he needs to finish the job before Friday.
Today was sports morning so that's all done and dusted. It was like herding cats but the children seemed to enjoy themselves and it all went according to plan, more or less :rotfl:. I enjoyed it too because it was nice to see the children having fun. My lunch time job was enjoyable too in this lovely sunny weather.
I've done 10,853 steps already today  and I haven't been to Pilates yet! I'll be tired by bedtime.
I hope everyone is having a good Monday.

Glad sports day went to plan - that’s one thing I’m not sorry to have missed at all. The little ones I work with don’t cope with all the waiting around and change of routine so it makes for hard work. There are lots of other end of term things I will miss....January spends - £587.580

Good to read slippergate is all under control and peace reigns once more in your house
Sports day was always good fun until it was time for the bloomin' parent races. I used to hide at the back of the crowd. When DD started school it used to be a few mums half heartedly limping down the field to show willing, but by the time DS had worked his way through primary it had all changed and was super competitive. Probably more funny to watch thinking about it.
Hope Pilates goes well. You'll be ready for a rest tonight. xx0 -
The photo montage is a lovely idea. The anniversary day will be hard but it will start to get easier once you can no longer say "this time last year ..." My mum was a devil for not wanting her photo taken, she often used to cut herself out of photos she didn't like, which means I don't have that many photos of her.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Thanks Milann. Our children seemed to enjoy it but it was very uncompetitive.

Yes slippergate is sorted :rotfl:. Our sports day was completely uncompetitive as the children are so small and we didn't have a parents race luckily.

Thanks SA. It is a very difficult time of year
. Luckily my mum didn't mind having her photo taken but I wish I had more close ups of her face because she had such a lovely face.

Pilates was good but my core feels very weak. It was nice to see my friend again. I've done 16,552 steps, 37 flights of stairs and 68 active minutes so far today, so I should sleep well tonight
