I heard a lovely poem the other day that is perfect for what I asked for, wanted to post it in case it would be of use to anyone else.
I thought of you today
But that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too
I think of you in silence
I often speak your name
But all I have are memories and a picture in a frame0 -
Any idea where I can get glass jars from for cookies in a jar?
TIA0 -

I used the OS Weetabix Brownie recipe last year - the jar is a 0.5L kilner, I worked out that to get the chocolate to fit too, you'd need a 0.6L jar (which you can get as jam jars, but not kilners)
The recipe is -
4 crushed Weetabix/equivalent of bran flakes (about 3.5 oz)
4oz caster sugar
4oz self raising flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder (or drinking chocolate for a milder taste)
100g chocolate drops/chopped chocolate
Mix the above ingredients together
Then add;
4oz of melted butter and
1 egg
and mix well.
Line an 8” baking tin, leaving an overhang of paper around the edge to aid removal after baking.
Place mixture in the tin, and spread it to cover the entire base.
Bake for 15 minutes at gas mark 4, 180 C.
Once out of the oven, let it stand for about 5-10 minutes, then lift out the brownie and cut into squares. Makes 16
You could call them ' Ican'tbelievethatthesearebrowniesmadefromweetabix' like on the advert!0 -

Does anyone have a recipe and label instructions for M&M cookies in a jar? I have found some instructions but they are in American cup sizes and include 'all purpose' flour and I don't know how to translate that into British use. I have 1L sized jars.
Thanks!Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0 -
