you've only done 5 posts, but strangely, all telling people about this website... also, I would like to see pics if you manage to get a canvas print in a jar.

maisiesmum - theres loads of things you can do............I expect you've looked through the thread but I'm doing:

    Pickled bums
Quotes (though mine are in a tin as hadn't got a jar)
    Silly facts ditto
    365 facts ditto
    Journal. ditto

Also doing 'canned sunshine' - load of sherbet lemons or some sort of yellow sweets in empty gravy granule tub I covered with sunny type paper
Canned rainbows.............same thing but multi coloured sweets
Safe keeping jar - toilet roll in the middle with dried beans or something all round it -somewhere to hide spare key or emergency fiver..........lol

Be interested to see what you come up with:j

  • does anyone know any short poems for a jar of 60 1p's:confused:

    TIA x
  • this is a bit rubbish, but how about something like,

"Find a penny pick it up
And then all day you'll have good luck"
    - Well this might be your lucky day
    Or lucky 2 months, anyway!

And if outdoor's all grey and rain,
Then here's a plan to entertain:
    Get yourself down the arcades
Win a prize before your luck fades!
  • Hmm, actually, a jar of pennies would make a nice "good luck" gift before driving test, exams, new job, wedding etc. You could do 365 so they have good luck every day that year - and it only costs £3.65.

Also, the spammer who wanted to put canvas in a jar has given me an idea - you could make your own photo paperweights by wrapping a photo round the inside of a jar, and filling with pretty stones / glass chips to hold the photo in place and give it a bit of weight.

pieface -=thats a brilliant idea especially with those little square shaped jars you get for tartare sauce and stuff like that. They're quite small as well, perfect for paperweight.................there now, something else on my bloomin' list of never ending 'stuff to do'....................lol:rotfl:

Love the verse by the way.
My dad was given a silver sixpence and a prayer book when he got called up for WW2..............old lady in the village said it would keep him safe and it did. I've got it now together with the prayer book and my Mum told me the tale about it.:o

Thought that this idea was quite cute, adding a wooden spoon to the jars.
