Wow Polly, they look fantastic :T
Love the boney bum idea, might just pinch that idea if OK with you.
Absolutely fine, happy for anyone to pinch my bum!:rotfl:
Pets at Home do a packet of tiny bones that would be ideal. Jar label could read "you always wanted a boney bum!"

I meant to post this the other day but...well  nuff said :o

Julian Graves have plastic jars in three sizes: 300ml--59p; 500ml--69p; 1lt--99p
& spice jars 230ml--69p; 330ml--79p. All are clear plastic jars with a lovely green lid. HTH.

Saw pickling spice in there too but didn't make a note of the price, sorry.

    Hiya x

Can anyone help me - I have washed out a douwe egberts (sp?) coffee jar and the lid has a rubber seal thingy and there is water in the seal - any ideas how I can get it out?

    Thanks x

    Alison x

I have had it sat in a cup of rice but that didn't work.

  • Alison, the plastic cover on the jar lid should come off; they usually do. Just prise it off with a teaspoon or similar...watch the fingers!

you can put a teaspoon in-between the seal and the jar and move it as if it were a screwdriver - the seal should pop off. You can tell that it's not watertight as you already have water in it, probably when washing the lid :)

  • Are there any recipe for the mixes in a jar for cakes/muffins that you just add eggs and milk to and are quite easy? I would like to do ones for my mum but I want something that you just tip the mix into a bowl, add a couple of things (like milk and eggs) and put in a tin as quickly and easy as possible.
