Might be!:D I'm really pleased that you doing so well on the nappy cakes despite being rained off.

Now I'm going to try pasting a bigger picture but I have no faith in it working. This is a winnie the pooh themed garden journal jar - as you do.... Well I got it to be bigger - you can't expect me to be able to rotate it properly as well - seriously it's right way round in photobucket and all wrong here so I give up!formbyplus009.jpg
    Thanks Savingholmes :D

What a lovely glass! I love it .... my address is ... 31 Co.....

savingholmes - love the way you put them all together - brilliant:T

furrypig - I did a survival kit for my son's birthday and pit all the bits and pieces in a nice silvery tin I'd had something in.
I've got the link somewhere............I'll have a look and pop it on.
Also had a link for some labels to print out and put on.........must have a look for that too as I'll need some more.

    furrypig - here's the link..............
    http://www.sawyers-specialties.com/survival-kits/.

You can put as much or as little as you want, adapt it to the person.
Pop a tea bag in or a sachet of coffee for a 'stress cuppa'............any number of things really.
The site gives a few ideas anyway.

Can't find the link for the labels............. have to probe some more

Just found my labels and the website is on them (phew...........relief!)......www.KitchenMixGifts.com
(Oh lor................tried that link and can't seem to find any labels..............??? Definitely the site printed out on the labels I got........

Thanks everyone for your help but I have plenty of ideas of what to put in the survival kit but I'm concerned about the presentation eg all the bits and pieces getting all tangled up together and just lookng like a jar/tin/box of rubbish!!

Did you attach individual labels to each item or just enclose the list??

What did you put it in? Was it all just mixed in together??

Did you put a special label on the outside?

    Thanks

furrypig - my sons was put in a silvery tin we'd had some incense burners given us in so that looked quite smart and I stuck a label on the lid and a little card inside with all the items listed and what they were for.
Struggling to find containers for my other 'survival kits' other than putting them in small jars and tying a label round the lid or sticking it on the side. Did rescue some gravy granule tubs en route to re-cycling...........they might be about the right size and I could cover them with paper and pop a label on and I got a nice pencil case from one of the charity shops that would do.
With something like a flattish sort of tin or box you can lay the items out a bit neater than in a jar or tub I would think.

Thanks mumoftwo for this link................there's some labels on this that are quite decorative

I put my survival kit in a little wash bag that was being sold off for 10p somewhere, then typed up a kind of 'certificate' that went inside the recipients card....not very inventive am I :o

I could manage that as long as I had plenty of notice to tidy up first. With working full time and doing gifts in jars and finished baskets - oh and having 2 children and OH - housework rarely gets a look in!:rotfl: tonight I did a recount, I have now "finished" 15 of the 25 pressies I am doing for Xmas/Birthday s between now and Jan. What am I going to do after i really have finished????

I'm planning to recycle a nescafe jar next... with blue top. I've stuck a purple ribbon round the lid, piglet over the nescafe bit and some more raised gel WTP stickers on the sides.... Even using backing papers on the journal jars I still have too much stuff! OH wants me to use it or lose it  That's my excuse... He surprisingly likes the jars and hampers....
