Well, I'm keeping the 'town facts' jar till next year and like the idea of pinkladymels winter scrapbook...........I've got a lot of stuff somewhere on how christmas has been celebrated through the years so that might be interesting for someone. Course, can always do gifts in a jar for those who don't get them this year, same with door hangers..................lolMary

Ohhh what's town facts? is it a jar of facts about a particular town? That's a great idea! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0

That Newcastle jar is simply fab Rusty, your OH will love it and a black and white hamper is a genius idea
I used double side tape to stick the labels which are just normal copier paper. One of mine stuck better than all the others but I'm leaving it as it is, don't think my nan will mind
Thanks.. I really need to redo the label. I know I can get loads of little NUFC stuff in the stadium shop so hopefully I can put together a nice hamper with black and white lol ... if I get stuck I can always throw in some humbugs ... well they are stripey :rotfl:

The labels for my 'safe keeping jars' are stuck on with pritt stick and haven't come off yet (fingers crossed) and earlier on this year I decanted some cheap tesco's bubble bath into some of OH's empty wine bottles, printed out some vintage bath labels from the internet and stuck them on with pva glue.Mary

Need to give that more thought....
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Are you being sarcastic? I think what you are trying to say is stop being so bloody fussy :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I need to do this pop up card thingy, however I have just had another phone order for a nappy cake :eek:Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Now I'm going to try pasting a bigger picture but I have no faith in it working. This is a winnie the pooh themed garden journal jar - as you do.... Well I got it to be bigger - you can't expect me to be able to rotate it properly as well - seriously it's right way round in photobucket and all wrong here so I give up!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Can anyone tell me what their survival kits looked like and how they put things together??
Wanted to do one each for my neice and nephew who start uni but didn't want it to look like a jar with a few rubbishy bits in and a note attached explaining it.
I know people were doing them and just wanted an idea of how to put them together so they look half decent (might be hard for me note I have never shown a photo of my handiwork yet!!)0 -
Here is a link to an american style one. I am sure that someone will be able to help further.
