I put 12 in. Think of some self help books you've read or exercises in magazines you 've liked doing. Here are a couple of mine.... You'll see why I only put in 12. ;);) I have pictures on mine too - I know some people just use text. Because I have lots of craft stuff already I have also pasted it onto pretty paper and tied them up with ribbon of some kind. Others do more, on plain paper and just fold them. It's your choice really.

    Do the Rocking Chair Test

Picture your life 40 years from now, if you keep doing what you have always done.
What will it look like? Where are you?
Who is with you, if anyone? Who visits you?
How do you spend your time?
What lasting legacy are you leaving behind?
    What are your key accomplishments?
    What was your proudest moment?
How happy and content are you? Do you have regrets?
What do you wish you had done differently?
Now picture your life if you lived to the full, loved much and took appropriate risks, how good could your life be when you look back in 40 years? Answer the same questions again but this time think about what you need to change to achieve that. Aim to make one change towards that goal, this week.

    Practice Gratitude

If you were subject to a “Thanks audit” how well would you do?
Do you remember to be grateful for your health, your home, your nearest and dearest, the sunshine and the rain?

Every week, write down 10 things you are grateful for. Try to find new ones each week – that will keep your brain juices flowing and depression at bay!

Love these questions, very thought provoking ;)

  • I want a journal in a jar ... if I provide the email address can you all hassle OH by email to do one for me? (I really don't think he would do it even if the whole world asked him to) but I have never looked in depth or understood the idea of them, however I am impressed and now want one lol. Wonder if I could make myself one from the children for christmas then get OH to hide it so I can pretend I know nothing about it lol

Yep, as I was doing my friend's I was thinking, I'd love to do this once a week! I could email you the questions I used, you could forward them to him and he could take it from there (some would need slight amending - she has 2 boys, you have a boy and girl etc). What do you think?

I still don't think he would, although I will give it a try if you are sure you don't mind? I steal all your ideas :)

Fantastic idea, however we would have to be careful about too much personal things in there?

Why don't you start the thread tonight then the early birds in the morning can contribute ;)

Well done on a fantastic idea.
