Hi psychopathbabble.
All my credit card accounts have been closed for 2 years or more, and I didn't have any statements, but I did have the account number for each. So I just used the template letter on here and wrote to them, and they all seem to be replying okay.
Hope you get some £££ back from them!
xx

Hi
I sent off my letter to RBS asking for £499, this was all my charges and did not include any interest! they have rung me saying they will pay £79 which is the difference in the charges! im a bit confused as to what is the next step if i want to try to claim back all of the money!
can anyone help??
thanks0 -
Either send them letter 2 saying that you accept it as part payment and without prejudice. Then say that you expect the remainder within 14 days or they are going to court.0

I would send a second letter enclosing a copy of your first letter - send it recorded delivery - keep going with Cap one, and don't back down I got ALL of mine back from them, but they offered a pathetic amount initially, I had to take them to FOS, but that worked, just waiting for my cheque from them, I know they are inundated with claims, as in my letter they have said so, and that due to this my cheque would take 21 days to get to me - good luck:osweetnskint wrote: »hi everyone! sent my first letter off to reclaim off capital one although i know they recieved it ive heard nothing-its been over six weeks---- any advise welcome!!!! xDEBT free:j0 -

I am not very organised or good with my records it seems, I don't even have my old account numbers  I guess a phone call would get me the info i need?0 -
Hi - have had cc claim going on with Barclaycard Visa (£460)and Mastercard (£550) they have paid back what they claimed was the full amount including intrest but it differs from my calculations using Martins interest calculator by almost £270 ???. After months of trying to find out why the different amounts I finally managed to speak to a person who said that they add up all the charges and add 8% interest at the end ?? Are we within our rights to contest this through the Courts ?? Any help much appreciated.0
