ATB.. yes I did.. I made the appointment turned up at 1:45 for 2pm appointment.. 1.5 HOURS later I was still sat in the waiting room so I left.. I had to be back home for children and after school stuff and it cost me £15 in taxi fares... I rebooked for today.. then they changed it to 7pm on Monday gone.. which obviously there was no way I could make that.. so it is now the 28th.. but I am considering just not bothering.. the service privately here is clearly just as crap as NHS so why should I pay for the privelege of being piddled about?

This morning I was yelling less than a minute after getting downstairs.. Dot whining she was hungry so I asked if she had eaten anything and she just whines.. I mean seriously how hard is it to reply with a yes or no??? She ended up placed in the garden where her whining didn't ignite my rage any further so i could deal with the others in peace.. I did dress her before throwing her out.. i had a word with her teacher because she utterly was refusing to go into school yesterday and started pulling faces about it today but she went in with my grandbeast who is in her class.

After yelling at Squeak to find her coat it was... on pixies peg at school!! WTAF??!!!!??!!

I need to get my head straight because I'm clearly not functioning properly, unless it is really everyone else who is behaving utterly stupidly!

And.. Dot destroyed her glasses I had fixed on Tuesday morning while at school yesterday.. she was cleaning them with her teeth apparently.. and the teachers just watched her again... Dot has been told if the naughty Dot comes home tonight she is being dropped off at a childrens home, I want the nice Dot or she is not welcome in my house.. and I'm not averse to putting her in the dog poo bin at RSPCA either.. :p

Just back from school. Had a reading workshop in DD class. It was bedlam - all those kids that had parents attend were too giddy, all those that didn't were stroppy. Teacher must have hated it :p

I need to sort the breakfast things but I'm soooo tired. I might have a rest first :o to get my head in order. I think I feel out of sorts with the college switch around...

Just popped on to find my list. Mountains of washing done and also found the bank card that I lost (and phoned up and cancelled)...it was in my purse all along. Think the first place I need to declutter is my head!
  • Lots of helpful vibes heading to those who need them.
Lots of mess to clear today after less-competent-than-expected installation of loft insulation. Hassles too numerous to mention other than the promised 5hr completion and pristine conditions took 2 days, lots of phone calls, altered social and domestic activities and mess. We negotiated compensation successfully. So today's plan:
Pick up apples so Mr N can mow lawn
Ring about hiring a heavy duty vacuum cleaner for loft
Vacuum most of house and check for general workmen's footprints etc.
    Check and email report
Collect hired cleaner on way to do friend's animals this eve
    Best make a start then
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
  • Managed the paid stuff but felt ruddy awful whilst I was there. Just had an early lunch and a brew - sticking kettle back on again, anyone want one?

DH on his way home from work - job cancelled at last minute  good job I went to work so at least some money has come in today! Will also list an item on ebay today.

Feeling all muddle-headed as well, must be something in the air. Right, off to put the kettle on and start to make the chicken pie!

Everyone in bed.. I'm knitting square number 6 ... do I block them first or sew them together first.. so many decisions!
I'd block first then sew together, on the basis that several small items are easier to deal with blocking than one great big huge item. Just my two-penn'orth. ;)

Bad night for me again - usual "fallout" after having a visitor. :( Mr LW seems to think it should get easier, after all I've known the chap for 15 years; but it never does.

I have a "meet'n'greet" for a new doggie on Wednesday next week to worry about, too.

ETA: Posivibes, hot tea/coffee, and a large Scotch/vodka/gin all available - help yourselves. Plus half a tree to deal with lurking BDs.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Hope you're having a lovely holiday LynneJK!

We, too, have a Worcester boiler and when this one conks out we'll get another one. They're made in this country, too. Loved 'flying being described as 'enhancing the ... environment.' Must remember that!

It's taken me until just now to catch up with Fred. (((Hugs))) and spoons for everyone who's chasing their tails including Dot, who's clearly so over-excited by being back at school and her birthday that she doesn't know what to do with herself.

All I've managed is planting 50+ bulbs with another 200 to go (big mistake, buying that many), a load through the WM and keeping everything tidy. Oh, and that I can eat a T3rry's chocolate orange in one go on my own. Useful to know that, I think.
    Better is good enough.
  • Hi I don't often post but do visit. I am really trying to get organised after a few months of madness. I have add a good week catching up with cleaning washing and ironing. Today done everything on list I am hoping to use the list to stay on top of things now. Also started back on diet I also started earlier in year but went out of the window in the summer but i did keep off what i lost so happy with that.

    DD3 loaded the DW

I went to the pub for lunch with DS1's OH... the pub where DD2 worked until last week.. the regulars were talking about her and how much they would miss her because she was brilliant and funny.. so from across the pub I called. 'I'm her mum!!' ... they got all defensive and said they were only saying nice things.. I said as if I would own up to knowing her if you were saying bad things!! lol... I told them it is really nice to know she is a pleasant and well thought of human being, that made me very proud.. it's nice to have confirmation you raised a nice person...

DD1 however, went to her uni enrolment.. they had free lunches for needy students and gave her quavers and a cheese sandwich.. she ate the sandwich and promptly vomitted it in to the bin in the lecture hall!!! Then cried hahaha... can't get it right every time can I.. she was clearly the prototype and is defective lol
