Ah, easier said than done, but try forget about him, chances are he has bigger fish to fry than worrying about who ate his lolly (ooo-err that sounds a bit risqu!!) xx

Well, I'm back from college. That was a quick one, lol. What they didn't tell me, despite me asking, is that they are running a daytime one, so they've switched me, and I've to go back next Thursday at 9:30. Much better, childcare-wise although I will miss a school workshop on Y4 reading :( still, DS is both competent and confident with his reading. So I will just ask for the low-down from one of his classmates parents.

Just emptied the DW while I made myself a bite to eat, kiddies are out with granny - the park and McD's was mentioned...

I think I'm just going to read through my papers - oh, and put my certificate away :) then I'll make a cuppa when they are home. Not sure if granny will still stay over - I think she might as DD has been asking when she can all summer...

Can somebody come and take my boots off for me, please?

Today's incredibly important work was unwrapping foil curtains - you know the ones; sparkly things that usually have strippers entering a pub through them? - cutting cardboard strips exactly twice the width of the bit that sticks, lining them with doublesided sticky tape, scoring them, folding them in half and then sticking the foil curtains onto them so that the foil curtains don't do what foil curtains always do - rip in half as soon as some [strike]feral beastling[/strike] cherished child tugs at them because they are dangly and shiny. Oh, and because it's so easy, because they're eight foot long when we only 'needed' 3 foot, cut all the extra off and glue the individual strips onto more bits of card so they have extra curtains. And then pin them to the stage and add voile swags to hide the pins. Using more pins to attach the swags.

    Why am I here?

Himself has made lasagne from scratch.

I wonder whether he'll risk undoing my boots for me? I've only been crawling around and making the knackered stage look [strike]tacky[/strike] as pretty as possible for five hours without a break.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    Hi girls :hello:

I've been flying lots today, but off list as predicted. Four big boxes of kitchen bits washed, dried and put into new cupboards. Countless pieces of bubble wrap popped in glee, then stuffed into a bin bag, together with various items of gibble that I rediscovered when boxes were moved about.

New oil tank is being installed next week, so had a site meeting to discuss this. Looks like the house should be reconnected by Wednesday :j

An hour of ironing done and a tasty curry made and scoffed by all.

Cuppa now in front of the telly. Relax...

(Oh, and I bailed on Pilates this morning, reasoning that my increased exercise lifting boxes was enough)
  • Kind of wish I had a magic wand that would whisk me round to Pigpens to look after her kids for a bit, then over to JoJo to pop her tired feet on a cushion. Oh then off to see LW just to offer a bit of support. Seem to be a lot of flyladies in need.

Think DS2 might have flu. He looks really poorly and feels really hot, he says he cant get out of bed. I know that there is nothing I can do and he needs to rest. He is fretting about missing college and I am slightly worried about DS1 getting it.

Early night for us all here I think.

Yorkie.. I'd escape to yours if I could.. or anywhere. Tell DS2 his college friends and tutors don't want his germs so would rather he stayed home and got well!

My ears are REALLY hot.. Twinkle is full of snot.. Dot continued being a douche until bedtime and promptly crashed.. Squeak fed califig to see if it helps cure her constant tummy ache or else I'm taking her back to quack and demanding a referral to get it checked for more sinister issues.. better safe than sorry!

Everyone in bed.. I'm knitting square number 6 ... do I block them first or sew them together first.. so many decisions!

Morning all. Hope you're all ok and that those who struggled yesterday have a better day today.

I have a later start at the paid stuff today so I'm intending to do the dailies and clean the insides of as many windows as I can. I did the ones in the LR yesterday.

And I believe there is karma. The horrid boss who got rid of me earlier this year has been moved to a job I know he will hate, haha.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Morning All,

Hugest of hugs to Piggers, YL's DS2, LW and anyone else who needs one. Life is carp at times - at least we have each other on here to talk to xx

Piggers - I must have missed it, did you decide to go private for the procedure? x

My kiddies are grumpy this morning. Full time pre-school for DS and year 1 for DD seems to be taking its toll already!

Just two hours paid stuff today - would really rather crawl back under the duvet but needs must.

Off to find a chicken pie recipe - DH dinner request. Have fab days all xx

    Morning
((Hugs)) to all those who need it, here's hoping today goes better for you all.

    Fantastic stuff that karma, Jazee!
Dizzy- it all sounds exciting and like you're really on a roll!

I've got a few hours (aka nearly a whole day, but only paid for the few hours..) at paid stuff this morning. I've time to do a bit of tidying for the next 15 minutes then I'm off. Beef casserole in the slow cooker for dinner tonight, just because it looks like beef casserole weather today. Well I thought it might when I got the meat from the freezer last night. You watch that unexpected heatwave come now.

Thanks for the offer Mrs MP. Actually a cuppa sounds a better idea than fitting a few jobs in! I'll join you.
