  • Good afternoon bed striped and bedding drying on the washing line lovely sunny day more washing in washer. Did a healthy low fat version of a full English this morning all cleared away tuck mum shopping. Now having a coffee then going to prepare a chicken chasseur to go in slow cooker for tonight and get some work business not house done. Hope next week goes as well as this week really kept on top of things so far.

Well done AKL Matthews - it's more than I've managed this week.

Many moons ago I wanted to stay in America after I'd gone there with a bunch of people. We were all booked to fly back together and I'd got a jolly good reason to stay, but a very sensible ex-copper that was with us said the only way that staying would be a good idea was if I had my return fare in my back pocket, and I didn't, so I flew home with them. He said everyone was safe anywhere in the world if they knew they could get home. I was 20 when he said that and never once have I left my home without enough money to get a cab, or whatever transport I could organise myself, such as the car or if necessasry the airfare. I never even leave it to OH to get me home safely - we might have a row, there could be an accident, things can and do go wrong. I hope your DS's girlfriend only needs to make that mistake once, YL.

I'm spending the day tidying everything away that I was too busy to deal with properly this week. I refuse to do any actual cleaning until tomorrow because otherwise every day turns into nothing but procrastinating because I don't want to do the cleaning and it's another wasted day. I'm going to see if this makes tomorrow any easier to bear.
    Better is good enough.

    Afternoon everyone.

Everything on my list done except cleaning the car. It can wait. I am now going to spend the rest of the day chilling, except for making dinner and packed lunches later.

Tomorrow I have a late start at the paid stuff so aim to dust the LR and hoover through, and carry on with cleaning the insides of the windows challenge.

See you all on the new thread.

  • Pigpen that is really scary. Good advice from you and HB about always having the means to get home. Its difficult because she has really strict parents who would never talk to her about handling this kind of situation but she is not mine so I dont want to feel like I am interfering. I am trying to pass on bits of advice via DS!

Nice day. Cycled out to a new coffee shop then came home and walked the dog. Washing done, everyone fed, feet up now. After my 3am antics this morning think it will be an early night.

Day started well; 4 washloads dried. But I lost the will. I quite get, now, how people end up with piles of rubbish in their homes (think Hoarders). I can't even be bothered to commit to a plumber. Being home alone is not good for my soul lately. Because I start to think...
So the breakfast dish is STILL on the table. And I have work stuff I need to deal with but I CBA. And, come to think, I don't think I have even cleaned my teeth. I have, however, minced the grass. And it looks minced. But if we have a dry-ish few days then a second cut will make it look tonnes better. And I have half-heartedly pulled a couple of buckets of weeds.
    It's birthday week, too.
I think I need to change my location. I'm under a little black cloud, really.
