    Hello!

Couldn't get on to mse earlier. Currently in conservatory, having floor wiped myself into a corner- possibly on purpose :p

Have re-rebuilt the cage, now with a loft, and have cleaned the floor under it, just waiting for it to dry then I'll push it back over. Also washed window ledge and skirting while I was there. Hoping to bottom this room today.

Popped to college for some books, grabbed some more salad from the @ldi next door.

DD getting a certificate in assembly so need to go early to see that. Grass needs cutting this weekend...

Right, think it's dry, will move stuff around! Byeee!

  • Like JoJo I stood up for myself this morning and pointed out to my boss that when I have spent all week doing a piece of work and had it 95% completed it was NOT OK to "tweak it a bit" and publish it when it was MY report. It sounds petty but he keeps doing this so I never get to see something through to the end. Feel better for that.

Home from job no. 1. 1 load of washing in wm, bit of hoovering done, DS2s new mattress unwrapped and left to breathe, upstairs paintwork washed along with the bathroom floor. More paid stuff now, must get on x

    Well done YSL.

Just the dailies done here today. Since getting home from work I've walked the dogs and fed them, made packed lunch for DH for tomorrow, prepped hm yogurt, had a bath, tidied my nails and made tea.

Need to wash up now and play with the dogs.

    See you all tomorrow.
Spend less now, work less later.

Good on you, Yorkshirelass. Something that really used to get up Mr LW's nose was when one of his colleagues didn't know how to do a task, got him to [STRIKE]show them how to do it[/STRIKE] do it for them, then made out it was all the work of their own fair hand, no-one else had any input at all. He got to the point of saying to his boss "*name of colleague* wants help with *task* - is that ok if I take time out to assist them?" so that his boss knew who really did the work.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    :T to the karma, Jazee.
Well done for sticking up for yourself, YSL.
Hope Dot has had a better day today, pigpen.
    Enjoy your holiday, Natty!

I have done very little flying today - just S&S kitchen and bathroom, cooking and WUDUPA - but spent an hour this afternoon cuddling a young friend's new baby :D

  • Got complimented upon how lovely the stage looked today. Which was nice. What was more, somebody from the Main Office made a point of telling me that the sound was great, even though Somebody Else will have received the official credit for that - they stated very clearly whilst Those Who Are Important were within earshot that, as they had seen and heard me doing the setup, they know full well that I'm actually the one responsible for making it sound professional.

But the best bit of the day was the hour and half spent breaking down the kit, neatly coiling the miles of cabling - and taking advantage of having a completely locked and empty Hall to just lie on my back in the middle of the stage and gaze up at nothing in particular for ten minutes after my upper back made lots of lovely crunching sounds as I laid down.

Silly, small pleasures make all the difference.

Got home feeling tired, but in a relatively good mood - promptly got pinned down by small furry things who managed to take a leg each and not try to kill one another for two hours and just slept and purred throughout. So all I've done this evening is bring down some cups and plates and wipe the loo and sink over.

Sent Himself out to get a chippy tea. And some beer.

As I ended up in a 2am writing session after my bath, I zonked out on the spare bed and Himself chucked our quilt over me and went to bed with only a blanket :). He went to bed properly as I was leaving for work and has obviously had a decent amount of sleep during the day, as there are piles of clean, dry washing over the house.

Kitchen still manages to look like a bomb's hit it though. How does he manage this?

Anyhow, the plan for tonight is lots of chips, a couple of Becks, a bit of telly for a change - and then do some proper cleaning tomorrow.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
