Morning all..hope you're all ok today.

I'm just having my second cuppa and a slice of toast. Dogs are fed and that is it so far. My plans for today:

    WU (will leave to drain)
    Get dressed
Take Poppet to vet for booster
    Walk dogs along canal
    Do paperwork

Then depending on the weather, either gardening or sorting the cupboard of doom.

And then tonight, a belated birthday dinner out for DD.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Morning all.

Up early, as obviously I woke up at 6am on a non-work day. DH has already left to go to FiL's house. DD is of course still sound asleep and likely to remain that way for at least a couple of hours. I'm on taxi service to the stables again today, which means that I eitherr do lots of small jobs (in my dreams!) or faff about doing nothing then get annoyed at myself ( ah...now that's the option that always seems to win).
Things that I have to do today are:
Deal with a bucket of windfall apples
    Ditto a bag of runners
Dust and vac the living room
Wash the car - don't know what I've driven through but it has to come off the car!

That last one is probably a waste of time even thinking about until I have done today's driving uo and down lanes.

Off to shower and dress, 2nd cuppa calling.

ETA - belated happy birthday Dizzy!
  • Oh darn it did I miss your birthday too Dizzy, hope you got a rest from children, dogs, builders, housework etc xx.

Feel a bit groggy, might be something to do with the fact that DS was making me very strong rum and cokes last night. And there's me always telling him not to blame his friends for buying him strong drinks and getting him drunk!

Lots to do today, rubbish to tip, parcel to post office, food to buy, washing to do. Family coming for tea tonight and nothing to feed them with at the moment!

Have a good Saturday everyone x

Good morning everyone, may I join you please? I've been reading for a while but I've never posted. I have flylady's book and receive her emails and do my own version of her plan. I won't be able to post next week as we are away from Wednesday and the place we are staying has decidedly dodgy wifi. I have a job interview next Tuesday for a job I would LOVE to have so I'm preparing for that this weekend, therefore not much flying will be done until after it. I'm not expecting to get the job but will give it my best shot.
Right, better go and write presentation and answer questionnaire they have given me, bricking it now!
    Have a good day all

    Morning!

Welcome pj do join us when you're ready and good luck for the interview xx

    Happy belated birthday dizzy xx

We had a small lie in, and kiddies entertained themselves until it was time to get DD ready for dancing. Dropped her off then DS and I stopped at the football field en route home for a quick kick around and some "mum coaching" lol. We got a bit muddy so I've just changed and he is sat here in his pants :rotfl:

Decided I will keep him company while DD is out, rather than my usual Saturday morning flying. So, the hall floor will go unswept, the LR up dusted and the breakfast things unwashed. :T

I'll catch up later, but we also have 2 lots of maths homework and apparently some Christmas lists to write  I wonder if we will get elves this year? I think DS is on the cusp of not believing - aww - but hoping we can string it out a little longer...

So right now it's cuppa, feet up and huggle with my boy :D

Anyone got a crowbar I can borrow please4? I need help to clean the bathroom as my hands and back are so ruddy painful so I can't get the bath lift out by myself, and Mr LW is sprawled out on the lounge floor with the newspaper in front of him and his cloth ears on.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • HI Pj1 i have been around on and off for a long time but never posted a lot so trying to post daily to help me keep up with daily lists and stay on top of things so I am sort of new too we can be the new girls together.
Good afternoon every one it's been a good week kept up with cleaning all washing and ironing done and business accounts all up to date and day 3 of diet and stuck to it so far. Shopping done and put away just chilling with a coffee.

A plastic jug of water would be much easier on the hands, LW. And then he'd need to go to the bathroom to dry off - so whilst he's there.......

Kitchen has had a perfunctory attack by Himself. It means I've just been presented with breakfast.

I've only been up since 10.30, having zonked out in the spare room again after being persuaded into another late night writing session.

Had a rotten headache from the artificial lighting at work and, I suspect, lack of food and lots of activity, so spent the time there on the bed under the banjo wall rack, draped over a bunched up leopard print quilt (his), Idiot Cat at my side, beer bottle in my hand whilst wearing a t-shirt, shorts and sunglasses at night. Himself took a photo when I wasn't paying attention, so there's now a shot of 'The musician and the writing process in her natural habitat' that is staying on his phone and going nowhere near the Internets.

Windowcleaner conveniently visited. Best tenner I've ever decided to spend on an ongoing basis, as we can see out the front windows in a way that is not possible out the back where he can't access. Noticed he also did all the soffits this time as well. Nice man.

Oh, good grief. Himself is after something. He's just put the telly on. And he's downloaded Bagpuss.

    What does he want?
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

If he's just served you breakfast and is softening you up with Bagpuss I could hazard a guess, JoJo, but this isn't the right forum for putting it in words ....

Well done YL. It doesn't matter if the boss doesn't change his way, the great thing is that you tackled it. Why do people insist on claiming credit for the work we do? I bumped into an old colleague a couple of weeks ago, who is now working about 50 yards from where here who used to do something similar and tried to again. She couldn't have been more supercillious if she'd tried and ended up by saying, 'We must catch up sometime.' I think not.

Worn out tonight so doing nothing except cat cuddling!

Cat cuddling is far more important that anything else, so well done on getting your priorities right, Kazwookie.

Welcome PJ1! Posting regularly, even if I haven't managed to this week, makes me titivate the hovel which I'd probably otherwise just ignore. Good luck with the job - someone has to get it, and it might very well be you. Let us know how it goes.

Final load of pear chutney bottled. My legs hurt and we've got to go out tonight. *curses* Tomorrow will be tidying away all of the gibble that's built up this week while I've been struggling to keep up and [STRIKE]failing miserably[/STRIKE] not quite succeeding. Two lodgers out tomorrow and the new ones don't arrive until Monday afternoon. Good.
    Better is good enough.
