I simply followed the templates step by step and as I had owed them a balance which I had been paying off when they closed my account I asked them to net the payment.0 -
Barclaycard - Claimed £480.00
Paid - £480.00
Thank-you for giving me the confidence and the tools to do this. The process took 3 weeks and was so easy. I honestly didn't think that I would get a pay out, so if I can do it so can anyone.
Thanks again xxx0 -

HSBC
I asked them to reclaim all charges as I didnt have statements
They paid £260.23
did have any statements and so used maetins templet letter to reclaim my charges and quoted that i wanted all charges refunded.all the charges were made before April 2006. i got a letter 2 weeks letter stating they were going to refund £260.23 for a goodwill gesture.
i would recomend anyone who has had charges from before april 2006 to do the same..:beer:0 -

Still waiting on Egg (X2), Lloyds (X2) and Halifax.
(PS. Even if you still have a debt that has been passed onto a debt collecting agency, solicitors or whatever, and they say any payments must be made towards the debt but you would rather have a cheque, they can pay a cheque direct to you instead, this is what was done here.)0 -

Bank: Monument Credit Card
Amount Reclaimed: £476.00 plus £162.36 interest = £638.36
Amount offered: £728.00 plus £202.42 Interest
The story:
I have had a monument card (previously provident since 2001). The amount currently owed is £537.27
Found out about this site in May 2009 and set to work calculating all the charges that had been applied to my account in the last six years. As I had most of my statements already I didn’t bother writing to request further copies.
Request for refund sent 22 May 2009 - Requested £476.00 in charges plus £162.36 interest.
No response received so second letter sent on 25 June 2009 (Threaten court action letter – template)
Response received 19 July 2009 – They had calculated the amount of charges as £728.00 and offered £364.00 in settlement. I declined their offer by telephone and requested a review.
Response received 10/8/09 offering full amount £728.00 plus £204.42 interest.
A letter accepting their offer will be in the post today and with any luck the money will follow shortly thereafter!!!
I am soo relived…I can now clear my account and will still have money left to put towards my many other debts….I am self employed and this year has been dreadful for my finances but this site has been invaluable for me, the templates are brilliant and the forums really keep you going ….Thanks soo much to everyone on this site for helping me to get my money back.:A
Barclaycard next!!!
Keep going, you will get somewhere! xoxo
