Provider: Sky Card (apparently now part of Barclaycard)
    Amount Reclaimed: £195.98
    Amount they paid: £195.72
The story: Sent of first letter back in March. They final responded me saying fees fair etc etc. Went to FOS in April who upheld my complaint and in July receive a cheque from Sky Card for the amount in question but less 26p for some reason. I sent a further letter requesting my 26p using one of their prepaid envelopes (I mean, why the hell not!!) and have received a response from them basically saying they the matter is closed and that they will NOT be entering into any further communication with me and any received will be filed accordingly. Ha ha, this letter has made my day and makes me smile every time I read it. I think I have really got under the skin on this person who has written me this response.

    I love this site.

    Provider: Capital One
    Amount Reclaimed: £720
    Amount they paid: £720
    The story:
Originally wrote letters to Cap One, but they came back with minimal offers of the difference between £20 and £12 charges, and refused to pay what I had asked for, so took it to the FOS, approx 6 weeks with the FOS and Capital One decided to pay all of it back, the cheque came in the post much quicker than I thought, so i'm well happy

Hi - I was wondering how long it took for Cap One to send you your cheque.

How long did it take to get a list of charges from lloyds ? Complained to information commissioner but still waiting . Anyone know anything else I can do to get list of charges ???????
  • A friend of mine settled various credit cards with a full & final settlement figure of about 35p in the £. He told me that he incurred lots of late payemt charges over the years and was wondering if he can still claim from these credit card companies even though the accounts were settled & satisfied last year?

    Thanks

Hello, just wondering if you can apply to use your account with Lloyds online (if you don't already have this facility). Then you can find the charges yourself and not have to wait for them?

    Good luck & best wishes

PS I spoke to the FOS service about our Lloyds charges this morning and they were super helpful.

I have today received a reply from Egg after my 1st letter sent on the 30th June claiming £692.00 + £131.38. (total - £823.38)

They have offered me a settlement of £36 in total. mmmm not so sure how they arrived at that one!!!

I have just written a 2nd letter to them today asking them for the full amount or im taking them to the FOS!!!!

Heres hoping they come back with a settlement closer to what im claiming.

Yes definately. Makes no difference that the account is now settled. Tell your friend to start the reclaiming process. Although he will only be able to reclaim charges for the past 6 years.

    Good show old bean.
