Got my letter from Halifax today saying that they will re-pay me £5017. Not as much as I was claiming but enough to keep the wolf from the door. Thanks to everyone on here it has been a great help. Hope everyone else has as much luck as me.

tesco offered me £76 when i asked for £468 i declined there offer and got in touch with the financal ombudsman.less than 1 month later tesco agreed to pay the full amout to me.£345 off my credit card (now zero balance) and a cheque sent to me for £123 thank you everyone on here for your help.:beer:

All in all a simple process using the templates from this site.

very easy. just followed advice and sent template letters. didnt get full interest but not botherd about that. happy to have got most of it,

on with capital one and husbands Mbna card now. will advise of outcome of these.

update 5/2/09 - MBNA paid up as easy as Barclaycard, just followed letters and paid in full £624- Had to refer Cap 1 to FOS

On 24 Dec BARCLAYCARD credited my account with the remainder, MBNA sent me a cheque for the remainder both incl interest

Hi, I applied to Nationwide for replayment of £2300 in Bank Charges but got a NO due to the fact that the court case was still pending. Do I have to start again from scratch or can I write to them again with a further request.

The story: I used the template letters on this amazing site. First letter got the standard 'We feel our charges are fair' rebuff so i threatened to take them to court which prompted a swift offer of the full amount!

story- when online and asked them for a list of my chargers for my credit card and on the 15th of novermber i got them. I had £60 of charges.
I forgot all about it, due 2 xmas!
So when i remembered i went online and asked them for the £60 back. i got a letter 2 days after, and the cheque came the day after that.

Ive had a letter from Alliance and Leicester saying they will be refunding the remaiinder of the money they have had from me over the years...

have to add though - egg have refunded their charges onto my account (closed it due to an iva) but my iva people assure me that it will be taken off their account,and their payments will be adjusted accordingly...
