Deliveries re-starting?

Does anyone know whether there will be a delivery today or tomorrow? Do we assume that they won't start to clear the backlog until Thursday?
I know that the re-delivery service is suspended, so really don't want to miss a delivery if there is one.

Any word yet about action in the week beginning 15th?0 -
unfortunatly the union keeps its card (a little!) too close to its chest.
i sometimes get info earlier but its not 100% reliable.
best place to stay up to date is the CWU site
latest newsTalks have continued between the union and Royal Mail over the weekend. These talks covered Saturday and Sunday including through the night.
There has been some progress and the unions negotiators continue to work hard for an agreement.

however the later starts are implemented on wednesday.they bring in a lot of possible operational issues which vary a lot from office to office.so i cant say what impact it could have to you but it could make things rougher0 -
Slightly off topic but ........ I found a job vacancy last night but closing date is Wednesday. How do I send my application to arrive on time?2012 wins approx £11,000 including 5k to spend on a holiday :j0

only true way is another courier im afraid.you could use special delivery which given your leaving 2 days should make it no worries, you obviously have no recourse if it doesnt.
have you contacted them regarding any leeway with the current situation?0 -

thanks for that.
The staff at the post office were amazingly unhelpful. They said that there was no way I could get it there on time as their post is not being collected so even registered would make no difference.
I sent it first class which they said will take at least a week to get there
I have emailed the company to explain and attached my application. I hope they accept it that was instead.

This seems odd - just had my mail delivered at the normal time, by a postman carrying no more than usual. In fact he was if anything carrying less. I got a Boots mailshot and a piece of junk mail.0
