  • :j:jGood luck with everything MrsCautious!

I've another £11.62 to add in ebay sales and £20 from a Shopalong survey! :j

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend xx
  • Hello all I just wanted to say bye as I am bowing out of the challenge. I've enjoyed being part of it very much but I can't continue as I have loads of things happening, all good. I wanted to say thank you to Aesop, Lynne and CarBootCrazy for doing such a brilliant job, thanks to everyone else for the ideas, support and inspiration - I may be up at 4.30am Sunday to stand in a muddy field and make £30 at the most - I blame this thread -- good luck all xxx

So sorry to see you go, MrsC:(. We'll really miss you:A. Thanks very much for putting me in the same group as Aesop and Lynne, I was very touched, but those two are the real heart of the thread.

Good luck in whatever you do next:beer:. Please drop in and see us if ever you have the time. Absolutly no obligation to talk about making money;)

Good luck with the car boot sale on Sunday. I can picture you setting out your wares in the muddy field before it's even daylight. Been there, done that too many times to remember. And often not made much more than the £30 you mentioned either:(. Boy, is it cold at that time of day:eek:. I hope the weather will be great for you and the buyers come out in droves:beer:

Aesop, if you're around at all today I could do with a bit of advice please.

I can't find any way to go 'full screen' on my current laptop:mad:. I've trawled through as many websites as I can for fixes and although they give various combinations of buttons to press none of them have worked. The usual F11 button doesn't do anything at all, obviously that's the first thing I tried.

I went on various Microsoft/Windows websites and it appears that Edge doesn't have the full screen facility. It looks like there are lots of others angry about that. I suppose the only option is to download another browser which I don't want to do as I'm still getting to grips with Edge:o. I didn't like Firefox much when I tried it a couple of years ago as an alternative to IE, although I know there are other possibilities too.

Have you any experience of this problem please? Any advice will be very useful. I'm asking you as you are a technology whizz:A but if anyone else has any suggestions I'd be equally grateful. Thank you x
  • Apparently my screen is a bit too small for full screen mode according to Prolific. There was a survey I started yesterday and it wouldnt let me continue. Never mind.

Sorry to see you go Mrs C and hope life treats you well.

Hoping everyone that needs it is finding a bit of time for theirselves.

I'm gutted as I wont be able to enjoy the yoga class that I have been going to for about 5 months as I now have to work a Weds as part of my new hours at work. :( I didnt want to give the yoga up completely so took myself off to an Ashtanga class (same teacher) on Tues night. OMG  Its totally different to the class I have been used to and there were a lot of people there who are obviously advanced and were tying themselves up in knots and doing crazy things on their heads!!

I am still aching!! I like a challenge though and there is no pressure........just do things at your own pace so I will be there again next Tues. :D

Anyway I digress..........this is a money making thread.......I have £14.95 tips to add and £15.. MOC used in Sainsburys yesterday. :D

Ouch to the Yoga, Kantankerus:eek:. Good for you giving it a go and being determined to do it again:T

Your mention of the Sainsbury's MOC reminded me that when OH bought something at WHSmith he was given a voucher for £18 off a £60 shop at Sainsbury's and it expires on 26th. It says it's for new customers and I used to have online deliveries from Sainsbury's years ago. Since then I've changed my email address (tho' not my house address) but I didn't get emails or offers from them for about 5 years even at my 'old' email address. I'm wondering if they've forgotten me and I can risk signing up as a new customer and that they'll accept the voucher code. Certainly don't want to pay full price as from memory they are more expensive than my usual Morrisons.

I think I'll have a little wander over to their website and see what happens. I expect it's possible to abandon the basket if the code isn't accepted. Better get on with it, I don't want to miss the Celebrity Masterchef final.

Worth a shot CBC with a different email address.....a quick way to find out if the voucher would work is to put some high cost items in your basket to bring it over £60.....spirits maybe? then apply the code to see if it works. Then if it does.......remove said items from basket and put in what you really want. Think I did this years ago when I used to have deliveries. ;)
