Hey all - I am partially back, but still recovering and had to accept help to get myself better and be able to look after a 7 month old. But anyway, I am on the mend now at last.
A warning to all others who also push themselves hard (Aesop, Milly-Ann-Molly I am particularly thinking of you)... PLEASE take time to look after yourselves as well otherwise you won't be able to look after anyone else. I almost ended up in hospital by looking after everyone but myself all the time and have realised I need to look after myself too in order to look after others. You can't get everything done in life and so I will be reducing my money making aim next month down to £10 a month to make things a bit easier and more realistic for myself.
Anyway - this month I have totally lost track of what I have and haven't put on here, but I am now at a great total of £386.48 which includes some extra eBay sales (thanks to hubby for posting some for me), bank interest, some surveys, £40 gift voucher I finally spent for some nice things to pamper myself with and a nice £30 from a free casino spin!
Good to hear you are on the mend Jess. It often takes being really ill for us to realise we need to slow down and look after ourselves doesn't it? Trouble is in the midst of our busy lives knowing what we need to do and actually doing it can be two very different things.

Great to see you back, QueenJess:j. Please take your own advice (and that of the rest of us too)to take care of YOU. It's all too easy to run ourselves ragged trying to make sure everyone else's needs are catered for that we lose sight of our own. You haven't let anyone down, you just have new priorities of your own (like a baby) that need more of your time. None of us are Superwoman! People who know and love you will perfectly understand that you need to take a step back and just have time to breathe. As for making lots of extra money, well there are much more important things in your life right now.
Sending hugs:kisses3:. I hope everything works out really well for you and your family.0 -
Evening everyone
Thank you for all your good wishes. You will be pleased to hear that the wanderer has returned. Bit like your experience CBC in that he is totally unphased but we did have to go and fetch him. Got a call from someone who had spotted him in their garden after we put fliers through local doors. It was only a couple of hundred yards down the road!
Anyway he is safely home and wondering what all the fuss is about. DD is going out to get him yet another new collar tomorrow and we will book him in for a check up with the vet as although he seems fine he is a bit skinny.
Great news about your cat:j:j:j. You must be so relieved.
We live in a hamlet, it's too small to be called a village, plus there are several strung out farms and houses down various lanes. After 2 days of him going missing I printed fliers and OH delivered them to any house for miles, within walking distance of a cat anyway. Our cat isn't the sort to get into other people's cars/vans and get driven off accidentally. I'd suggested that people check their sheds, garages, caravans etc. I suspect my cat was shut in some rarely used outbuilding and once someone opened it to check he flew out and came straight home. Like your cat, he looked a bit thin and wolfed down his food and water as soon as he came back. That's why I think he'd been locked in somewhere. No one ever contacted us to say it was they that had found him though so it remains a mystery. He's a homebird, and although he travels a long way hunting rabbits he always likes to come home for regular cuddles and to sleep in his own bed (usually on ours).0 -
Hello everyone, £10 from a facebook sale (used vacuum cleaner!) and 15p from Qmee.
Big hugs to all that need them, I'm another one who runs myself ragged for family, work etc, please be kind to you - so much easier said than done!0 -
Been meaning to do this for ages.
Finally got round to checking Santander 123 interest and cashback as I wanted to add this from July and August when I have joined in this challenge. I don't know quite what I expected but it added up to £12.43 for the 2 months. As there's a £5 fee each month for the account you can understand how delighted I am - I've inadvertently added the full amount to my running total in my signature - now I need to take off £10!0 -

aww glad to hear you are on the mend, didn't realise you weren't well.
Yes I know about burning the candle at both ends. I do tend to just watch tv some evenings as i need to relax and then go to bed earlier.
took a photo of me last sunday and I didnt realise how black the bags were under my eyes :rotfl::rotfl: so need to sort that out asap.
keep taking care of yourself and get better really quickly.0 -
Hope the cat turns up, Shariann, it is the worst feeling when they are missing
VintageHistorian, how does JobSpotter work, please? I'm in Soho this week and see lots of pubs/restaurants etc looking for staff.
download job spotter app on your smartphone. you can only do this if you have data on your phone. or in an area with free wifi, otherwise will not work.
You spot a job advertised in a shop window, you covertly using the app, and I stress, you must use the app. Take a photograph of job advertised, you submit that, then take a second photo using the app still of the job store sign, ie T E S C O. it has to be a very clear photo, no people must be in the photo, then upload it via the app.
They will award points dependent on how much the job is unique and more likely to score them candidates. job spotter who are indeed co uk will upload the jobs to their website.
if it is a common job they dont get as many points or if it has already been photographed by others. the more unique the job, the higher the points.
it is less than 1p per point, but it all accumulates for amazon vouchers. you can cash out at any time. so you can cash out for a 2p amazon voucher if you so wish. the voucher is emailed to you by tango so watch out for that.
happy job hunting.0 -
Feeling a lot more optimistic on the moneymaking front this evening:j.
Completed the follow-up survey after testing the food product from Pine**** and already have the money in my bank via Paypal:j. Had £1 in my a/c left over from the last redemption so now have £5 to declare.
All my lots sold at the auction today for the estimate and couple for more. One struggled to sell at any price but someone bought it for the minimum the auctioneer would accept:rotfl:. Didn't bother me, I wanted all this stuff gone as it is big and bulky and absolutely no use to us. I didn't put reserves on any of it for that reason. Made a total of £427 in all but there has to be the exorbitant auctioneer's commission fees to pay out of that:(. Will add in October when I know what I'm getting after receiving the cheque.0
