My FB buyer gave me £5 for a £2 item because lots of people wanted it and I'd saved it for her for a couple of days :)

£5.87 cash out on PA of which I'll see about £5.50.

I found lots of books in the 'recycling' at work today, it was only when I was transferring my third armful to my desk I realised it wasn't recycling but a charity collection box :o

Hahahaha thanks for sharing that made me laugh x

I feel like I've been missing in action this month. I know that with mystery shopping I will top the £200 mark next week. But I've been so busy with other stuff! I want to devote some time to eBay and Facebook sales - been saying that for over a week!

Hopefully tomorrow may be the day - might be pushing it to get to £310 now but fingers crossed if I can get on with it, maybe more sales for next month.

It hasn't helped that I've had 3 Facebook time wasters in touch.

Really could do with a car boot sale this weekend, wouldn't make loads but more clutter would go.

Well done everyone who's doing great this month x

Well done to all you successful moneymakers:beer:. I'm having a really slow month so far. One or two things in the pipeline but nothing that will realise any money before the month ends. Really must pull out all the stops this next 10 days.

The real life auction where I entered a few items too late for last month's sale:o is tomorrow so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that. Nothing very valuable unless a crazy bidding war breaks out:rotfl:. The auction house doesn't pay sellers until 28 days after the event so I won't see any money made until late October. Better late than never though;)

Aesop, I hope a good night's sleep will have made you feel a lot better:).

shariann, thanks for updating our August total. You're a star:beer:. Didn't we all do well?:j

SeekingFlight, congratulations on your pears:T. Our produce has been a disappointment this year. Lots of apples but the gales blew loads of them down so they were bruised. OK to eat/cook with but hardly show-winning:eek:. The runner beans have been prolific but have blemishes or are a funny shape. Maybe it's the weather. The tomatoes have been very poor, not worth the effort this year. Everything else is just about OK. Not been a great year for us produce-wise:(.

FatVonD, How lovely of your FB buyer to give you the extra money:T. I had to chuckle at your 'charity' book experience though:rotfl:. You must have been overjoyed when you found a treasure trove in the 'recycling'.

There's a charity bookstall in our nearest Tesco, they raise money for a local animal charity, one that we are happy to support. OH often drops lots of nice books off there and puts money in the collecting tin for ones he buys. Sadly, I think lots of people think it's just a 'help yourself for free' set up as he says just after he'd put an armful of books on there last time someone came along, picked up 4 and put them straight into their full trolley as they left the store. Not a penny paid to the charity:eek:. We wonder how common this is. He says the collecting tin sounds pretty empty whenever he puts anything in it and he knows there's a really good through-put of books there. Might stop taking ours there from now on.

I was trying to decide whether to put them back or not but the rest were collected this morning before I had, ahem, time to put them back :o

My local supermarket has a similar arrangement for second hand books (as does a local launderette!) but the supermarket also has fruit at the entrance for children to eat for free while they are going round (I presume rather that their parents opening packets.) A couple of months ago on my way in I passed a man who was just leaving who picked up five satsumas and walked out!
