How's everyone doing selling interesting items for Aesop's challenge this month?

I drew a blank trying to sell my archery stuff to the man who's starting an archery club locally:(. He says he'll let me put an ad on the noticeboard to try to sell it myself to the members but I don't think there'll be any takers as it's heavy and cumbersome. People want the latest kit.

well done. I am pleased with myself if I manage to make £10 a month lol.

although we are trying harder to spot jobs when out near shops.

Thanks, Aesop, I wish I'd done this before as I've been working in Soho which is full of small, independent restaurants etc that are always advertising for staff. I managed three on the way from the tube station then went out at lunchtime and got tons more. I still have 9 awaiting approval (plus I had two duplicates) so I'm hoping the rest will be okay. I was planning to go out in the other direction tomorrow (on what would have been my last day) but I've decided not to go in, I am knackered tonight and I'll only be worse by tomorrow night and I have my induction for my new job on Saturday and I want to be fresh for that so I'm going to take the day off.

I managed a few PA surveys today at work safe in the knowledge they can't get rid of me :D

Feeling a lot more optimistic on the moneymaking front this evening:j.

Completed the follow-up survey after testing the food product from Pine**** and already have the money in my bank via Paypal:j. Had £1 in my a/c left over from the last redemption so now have £5 to declare.

All my lots sold at the auction today for the estimate and couple for more. One struggled to sell at any price but someone bought it for the minimum the auctioneer would accept:rotfl:. Didn't bother me, I wanted all this stuff gone as it is big and bulky and absolutely no use to us. I didn't put reserves on any of it for that reason. Made a total of £427 in all but there has to be the exorbitant auctioneer's commission fees to pay out of that:(. Will add in October when I know what I'm getting after receiving the cheque.

awwww well done carbootcrazy. shame auctioneers take a big cut. tell them to take 1% and leave you rest

I managed a few PA surveys today

A few:eek:. Well done:T. I only managed one and I was checking off and on all day. Even the one I did was only worth 80p:(. PA used to be my regular 'go to' survey site but it's been very poor for me for ages now.

Not having much luck with PopulusLive either at the moment:(. Had emails about 4 surveys today, all of which I responded to within an hour of them arriving; After completing loads of the same boring pages of screening questions every time I was told they already had enough people of my profile:mad:. They have all that information in my up to date Profile anyway:(. If I'd managed to complete all these surveys it would have been £10 made in one day. As their redemption level is £50 I'll definitely be closing my account with them after the next payout. That's if I ever get there:eek:

I've not been getting any/many in the mornings but afternoons have been good for me this week, especially round about 5pm. I think I've said this before but I sometimes check the completed studies to see what time of day they are all going on and then try around the same time the next day.

I've had to ignore a couple of video ones as I wouldn't get away with doing those at work!

Yes, that's exactly what my happy dance looks like! :D

This is the first time I've actually made my target (apart from January when my target was only £2 per day!)

    £1.78 matched betting
    £9.20 work tuck shop
    £10.98 total

TGIF tomorrow! Day from hell at work today, and I've only been back in 2 days.
  • Hello all I just wanted to say bye as I am bowing out of the challenge. I've enjoyed being part of it very much but I can't continue as I have loads of things happening, all good. I wanted to say thank you to Aesop, Lynne and CarBootCrazy for doing such a brilliant job, thanks to everyone else for the ideas, support and inspiration - I may be up at 4.30am Sunday to stand in a muddy field and make £30 at the most - I blame this thread -- good luck all xxx
