Good Morning. I got the whip out this weekend and made a list of things we needed to get done. We got through about 80% of the list. the rest we couldn't for good reasons. So they will get done hopefully this week.
So today I have more windfall apples from the neighbour so more applesauce. Need some ideas for them! Don't have room in the freezer, tho. We decided that we needed a handyman to come out and do a list of things before I get a chest freezer. We've had the electrician come, and bought a new dining room table and chairs, bought a new digi camera (as ours had died and was so old you couldnt get new memory cards for it), and OH has to get new glasses. Maybe for december I'll get the chestfreezer.0 -

Kitchen Update
Heres the promised update form all the legs hard work over the weekend
Full on activity already - its a bit much for a girl to cope with at this time on a Monday
anyway managed to eat one roast dinner last night and the other is in the fridge for later today - may freeze it though as currently have no way of warming it up. So my veg quota is thoroughly satisfied for the [strike]month [/strike]day. My parents are coming over this morning for an official tour of the work so far (must put up a ribbon for cutting) so we may nip to the local hostellery for their 3.95 2 course lunch (bargain!!)
So as well as the fitters I also have 3 roofers arriving today to sort out my leaky tiles - and the money haemorraghing continues:rolleyes:
Pink I think you should go for it girl its sooo exciting
Haribo - Leave pink alone she needs to really think hard about having [strike]loads of lovely men in the house[/strike] a new kitchen
Jackie - Hugs girl come and update us soon
Ellie - I will see if I can capture some leg shots for you later
Have a lovely day all

Hugs to all other non sleepers, and anyone else in need.

Morning all and (((hugs))) to all who need them. Late coming on here, mainly because I thought I was getting better yesterday and now I feel as bad as I did this time last week! I feel so slow and lethargic; DH has only just gone to work - the joys of having a self-employed husband, you can never plan your day. TBH it really gets me down and I've been quite horrible to him about it, lately. I would love it if he got a 'normal' job - you know, nine-to-five with just a briefcase (not tons of paperwork and invoices and loads of tool boxes and other c**p which clutters up the place); at least I would be able to plan my days efficiently. Moan over (well, until he comes home! lol).
CHALKY - I am desperate for getting-to-sleep tips so will definitely try the naval-gazing tonight! Thanks.
AMIE - I am exactly the same, nearly all my thinking (and panicking) is done in the early hours of the morning and it includes Christmas at the moment. I've hated being so unwell this last week or so, because I had so much I wanted to achieve and I feel as if I'll never get it all done. I really must try and relax.
I was hoping I'd be back at the gym by today but my 'get-up-and-go' just 'got-up-and-went'! Everyone will hate me now but I've lost half a stone because my appetite has disappeared and I'll find it really hard to put it back on. The last time I was this ill, my DH said my clothes looked 'empty' even when I was wearing them! I don't even fancy chocolate and that's not like me!
NELSKI - as someone who has gone through several kitchen-fits (another joy of having a self-employed DH!) it definitely looks at that 'light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel' stage. It's going to be fantastic when it's finished and you'll forget (well, almost) what you are going through right now and just enjoy it.
Well, I have to go to the bank now - just hope there's no queue because, the way I am feeling, someone might just get an ear-bashing! Don't I sound like a moody b***c? Sorry, everyone.
Will come back when I'm in a better mood!
Have a great day, everyone.

Morning everyone:D
Didnt get on over the weekend as I went to neice's wedding sat - which was good, I havent seen my neices for years and neither had my DH and son - so was nice to meet up! Refrained myself from too many cheese n pineapple on sticks:rotfl: Unfortunately DH managed to get a sneaky little video on the camera of me "shakin my groove thang":o :rotfl: Its just taken me about 10 emails sending the photos I took across to them! Ive now got to print some pics to post for Big Bruv in Australia - so he can see how the "Pommie" side of the family is getting on!:D of course I wont mention the "Rugby" Aussielass;) (cough cough!):rotfl: seems like enough people have dont that already!!:rotfl:
Yesterday took kids over to greenwich park and picnic in the park and then DS1 came home with VERY LARGE BAG - yes it was his turn to wash the footie kit this week!:o :rotfl: -Churchmouse - Ive have done the shirts and shorts and now the smelly socks complete with "vics" are going round the WM!:rotfl:
OS wise today - ive swished the bathroom, popped and got necessities from asda, took kids to school. Bedrooms tidied and DH hoovered round. Got bread soaking for another bread pudding for mum! but have got the dreaded "OVEN CLEANING" to do today! (talks sweetly to DH!)
nelski - loving the kitchen, its looking good!
bargainrzl -havent seen you around? have you started the gym yet?
Off to finish bread pudding now, have a good day all xx0 -
Good morning everyone,
Annie - just read yesterdays thread and ((HUGS)) to you and your nephew xxx
Chalky - will try your tip about closing my eyes and looking down, im a terrible sleeper, even with sleeping tablets i dont get much sleep, so anything that might help is worth a try!!!!!
Well, fingers crossed, but i might have a new LO to look after soon, another lady from our school is after a childminder and im going to look after her LO for a couple of hours on Thursday to see how we get on, if its ok then i will have him for 3 days, so a huge help with xmas coming.
Didnt get very far with the patio yesterday, first Focus wouldnt accept my builders dads over 60s card, so i couldnt have my 10% off - but his dad did come down and help unload the slabs, and then held the ladder whilst our lad cleaned my windows and guttering!!! After lunch (roast chicken, have to keep the workers happy!!!) he got everything ready, went to start laying the slabs and found they were the wrong size, q us racing around, returning the wrong ones and trying to find the correct size - could we - NO, so no patio. He is going to come round later in the week, and we are going to see if we can get some, cos if we have them here, he will get it done this weekend, even tho we are away, as he said he wont need to come indoors, and will be able to get it all done for when i get back - which is great:T
Did a lot of baking yesterday, made a banana loaf, peanut butter cookies and a sponge cake, but im trying to be good at the moment and not eat too much of it all!!!
Right, better get going, LO has been sat on my lap (making it difficult to type) and he now wants to play cards, so thats what im off to do!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Hi all,
First time on this kind of thread, so here goes! Been meal planning like mad, and have made and frozen every evening meal til the end of the month.
Don't tell DH, this is his idea of a slow painful death, he prefers life the spontaneous way. My new approach is to plan it all, and then casually ask at about 6.30 'pizza ok for tea love?' and then feel relieved when he seems keen. Usually does!
Due to my particular one-track mind when batch cooking, only one day in three is not a curry...:o Good job we like them!
My neighbours lovely mum gave me an enormous bag of cooking apples, so I was going to stew them and freeze, but my freezer's full of this month's meals!
Does anyone think stewed apple with cinnamon and sutanas would keep in jars? Strikes me it's like chutney but without the vinegar!
Trying to revise for an exam, but the pull of MSE is so much more interesting:D
So much procrastinating that I cleaned my lounge like on the fly-lady thingy.:rotfl:
Don't know you all well enough yet to inflict hugs, but heres a little shy wave from a newbie...

Morning all. I'm back out of hospital. Had a cervical stitch in the end, which meant I could continue living at home rather than staying in the hospital under bedrest. I'm so sad to have to leave work, especially as I can't even 'nest'. Knitting a jumper for baby and keeping a diary folder, with all of my daily tasks in (or tasks for OH). It's keeping me mildly sane!£4000 challenge

Hello again. I'm off to hit the sack shortly. We had another summer storm this arv. Had one yesterday as well. A lot of noise & lightening but not a great deal of rain. It's very still now. Might take DGS swimming tomorrow morning at the beach. Well if you stretch your imagination you could class it as a beach.
Luxor I hope you get some relief soon. A few years ago I had tennis elbow. Suffered with it for a few years. It can still play up now. Those types of injuries are so annoying. ((((hugs))))
Nelski The kitchen is coming along nicely.
Chalky Can I tell you a secret. The only football I enjoy watching is the AFL.But I like to follow the international sport. Maybe they should start up a foot in mouth sport. We may be able redeem ourselves in the table tennis or something
.
Haribo Don't take too long having your wee break.See you later alligator.
Crazychik Take it easy with your back. Rest.
Hugs to Jackie O. I know she can't type real well at the moment but she's still reading so . Off to bed. ByeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0
