    Hi everyone

Hope everyone is feling brighter after that awful bug.

Ausssie -- Glad you are not rising to the ribbing about the Rugby. My DOH thought it was really sad---- not about them losing but about them not having booked any tickets home so they had to go to Paris then back to England and then home--- he though it was like rubbing salt in the woulnd twice.. Me ---- I have no interest in Rugby at all so just send a big hug !!!

A special hello to Taplady and Anniestar must find out how to find a wave icon so that I can return my gratefully received waves!

Pinl-winged--- hope you dont nod off aafter your terrible nights sleep. Apparently when you cant sleep you are supposed to close your eyes and then look in the direction of your navel ( I am full of useless information) anyway this stops the flashing in your eyes from an overactive mind and aids sleep.

Well OH and I are off to DD1 today to give her a hand. Tiling and painting so that should keep us out of mischief.

Fund raising went brilliantly for my friend nearly £3000 pounds for the BHF and my cards made approx £50 so I was chuffed.

Pink Pen-- Hope you have a brighter week.
JackieO -- Hope you are improving
and special gentle thoughts to all those feeling sad or alone or just fed up.

Congratulations and jumps for joy to all those celebrating.

The freeezer/ store cupboard challenge goes on into its 4th week !!!!
Try and do a good deed every day.

    Good morning all

So sorry to hear that some didn't sleep well last night.

Csarina - you were back up again BEFORE I'd even gone to bed!

You lot all amaze me with your full lives, busy young families AND jobs as well - really don't know where you find the time to do stuff 'old-style' as well!

Congratulations to all who've done well, good luck to all who need it for today and (((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) to all who need them - as per usual please pass on to someone who does even if you don't ;) .

Amie - those silly thoughts get too all of us in the middle of the night - especially when something like Christmas is lurking and getting us wound up before the actual event! I've done the worrying that I'll forget to buy something and that Christmas will be totally ruined just because I've forgotten a silly item - probably something that nobody is even bothered about anyway!!!

My main problem isn't 'not getting to sleep', it's managing to go to bed before falling asleep!! Every night, I get myself too comfy on the sofa watching 'something interesting' and then finding it's soooo interesting that I'm asleep within ten minutes. OH comes downstairs, wakes me up and then I have to go to bed around 3.30am  .

Bin day today here (and recycling as well) - it's all out and waiting. Only managed one black bin bag again in my wheelie bin :A , the recycling box is full :j and the cardboard is almost full :j :j . OOOh yes - there is a bin bag of plastic bottles as well :j :j :j .

I don't do the compost thing (shudders at the thought of worms), but I've got a bag of peelings for whichever of my neighbours wins the fight for them ;).

SK is on with delicious scouse - should be 'glooping' shortly - for tonight's meal - and there isn't any laundry as it was all done and line-dried over the weekend.

I'll get back on here at some point later in the day but in the meantime 'Have a great day everybody :j '

    Hi everyone

I hope everyone is well. I haven't been here much at all lately, have fallen off of the OS bandwaggon a wee bit :o Or perhaps I was just doing it rather than reading/typing/lurking here :D

Anyway, I need to really get back on the waggon again. Not least of all as we have a fabulous holiday booked in November which we saved/planned for for ages, suddenly our flights have been cancelled and the new ones we have to book are £250 each more expensive. I have got to make up for that somehow! So, storecupboard challenege of course!

Could also do with the lose weight the OS way thread. :o:D

Anyway, hope everyone is well speak to you soon x x x

    Morning :D

My PC is nearly dead  I've run every anti-virus and spyware thingy that I can think of, they all say no probs  But there are loads of probs so I've backed up most of my stuff, just got a couple of other things to put on a CD then I'll do a complete re-install.

I've actually slept all night for 2 nights in a row  Long may it continue :D

There's no point in going to work til wednesday, everything I do involves the post - invoices in and out, quotes out, letters out, cheques in, etc. So I'm staying home today and tomorrow :D The house is lovely and tidy, I just need to do a bit of ironing and put the animals out in their runs. I made loads of cards over the weekend, I'll put some more on ebid this morning.

Not quite sure what to do with myself

Big hugs for everyone (can't actually post a pic of a hug, when I click 'more' for the smilies, it opens THIS page over and over. I can't open another window, the PC freezes if I try. So just because there's no pic, doesn't mean I don't mean it. LOL)

  • Good morning everyone!

No idea what I'm doing today, but there is plenty to do  I really want to carry on with my knitting, but think I ought to tidy the kitchen, do the ironing, think about what we're having for tea  before that :o:o:o

I booked some train tickets for half term to go and visit my sister and her family at half term  (ours, not theirs, as they live in Edinburgh). I now need to renew my railcard. Was hoping to find a discount code, but no luck

Dug some parsnips yesterday - DH roasted them with carrots, and they were yummy. Had the first sprouts of the seadson, too (from the farm shop).

Have a great day, Penny. x

    Morning all

I'm another one in the "sleeps not a problem - getting up is" camp - really had to rush around this morning.

Had an eventful weekend what with helping inlaws move house, a gas leak, DH pranging the car twice and me getting an earful of abuse from a police man (I'd report him but he refused to give me his details)

Quite glad it's monday and they've all gone to school and work - peace at last.

Beds are stripped and bedding's doing it's thing in the WM - everywhere's had a quick flick around with a damp cloth and that's the extent of it today.

Hope you all have a good one.

    Morning all :hello:

Sorry to all the insomniacs. Hope you all sleep better tonight.

    Enjoy your days off Tru:j

Chalky...No offence hon, but please don't encourage Pink to gaze at her navel more than she does already. :D;)

Well people, I'm going to disappear for a wee while.:o The girls are now off school for 2 weeks (one is quite poorly) and although I can just about manage to fit the housework in around my time on here, I don't think it's fair to them to be on and off here all day. I probably need some self discipline but it seems to be lacking. TBH the deciding factor is that I have a big project that I have seriously neglected recently and it hit me with a bit of a bang last night. If I don't get stuck back in soon I'm going to seriously regret it. Sorry if this all sounds like waffle but the bottom line is I'm taking a wee break from MSE. I will still be OSing my head off. :D

    Just didn't want to disappear.

    Take care all.

    Good Morning All

    Another one here running late.
    (((hugs))) to PEN-PIN & Anniestar
Twink Im so pleased Kyle arrived safely. Lets hope LO has a better flight coming back!

Ive just prepped lamb hotpot, thats now in the slow cooker for dinner for later.
DS has forgot his dinner card, so I'll have to drop that off on my way to work. He's finally finished his projects, ready to hand in on thursday. Then after half term, he'll be getting another 3!

OH did 2 car boots over the weekend. Saturday was a good one! But itt was hardly worth getting out of bed to do yesterday's.
Washing all caught up with, and half the housework done!

Got to be extra carefull, can feel my back muscle's going into spasms. Just hope it doesn't go completely.

    Anyway, must dash

    Good morning all:hello:

Well I've been and done my *session* at the gym, and now I'm fit for nothing:rotfl: My holiday certainly made me forget how hard it is.

Pink-winged I did read that nasty name-calling and once the tears dried, I just comforted myself that some people are sore losers:D Actually, I heard they had a pretty poor journey home, something about not expecting to travel so soon:rotfl: Still the kiwis could keep them company;) Well done on your carboot finds, and your reduced fish:T Just wish my supermarket did reductions like that! Mine would rather throw it away than give the customer a bargain:mad:

Annie (((((hugs))))) to you and your family, such sad news.

dlb my DH used to run (along with a couple of other parents) a Saturday morning footie club for our kids. Some of the other parents beggered belief!!!! This was a club just for a large group of kids to have a kick about, no leagues or anything like that. None of the other parents could help out, too much to do Saturday mornings:rotfl: But they could turn up to backbite, snipe and moan on the touchline:rolleyes: And often my DH went straight from a nightshift to referee them, and then brought all the kit home for me to wash:eek: We had 4 kids, maybe that's why we did more?:D

I've taken so long typing this I must get on, I've to be out the door in another half hour and so far I've done nothing. Must at least load the W/M, and get something out of the freezer to cook tonight.

JackieO Hope you're progressing well. Would be lovely if you could post and let us know. Big (((((hugs)))) to you.

((((hugs))))) for all the poorly ones

    Bye for now,

    CMxx

edited to say Pen-Pen, go with the knitting, be a devil:rotfl: The rest can wait:D

Haribo, look forward to seeing you back when you can:D
