Morning,
Greent your shower situation sounds like a complete pain but at least you have water and can use another shower. Still really frustrating and hope you get it sorted quickly.
The community orchard sounds really interesting f0xh0les. We have nothing like that around here though to be honest would probably not know what to do with the apples if we did :rotfl:
Yesterday was a NSD as the only thing I did was keep sorting the house and go for a run with a friend. Run was fine until we decided to do a some mini circuit session at the end of it. Ended up covered in mud and am really feeling it today. Oh well would never have pushed myself on my own so good to get out with someone else plus its much more sociable.
Not much else moneysaving happening. Payday tomorrow and think I have mainly stayed to within my budget for the month which am thrilled about.
Cousins wedding this weekend that am almost sorted for and have managed not to buy anything new for it :j:j Just need to remind my boss I am away from Thursday, have a feeling he doesn't remember and his secretary who usually acts as his memory at work is away. Looking forward to catching up with that side of my family as it has been much too long since we were all together.0 -
I have been away for a few days. Thursday, Saturday n Sunday were nsds so I'm up to 12/18. I need to start working on October budget but can't find my big budget book.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #820

Today's spends - paint for bedroom ceiling £6, bus to work because it was pouring with rain £2, bananas £1. Gym at lunchtime then walked the 3 miles home from work with the paint, kept swapping hands as it was quite heavy.
Hoping for SFD 10 tomorrow.
Everyone is doing really wellI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Today I am grateful for hitting the nsd target, for coping with a full day at work, for getting some tasks done that had been bugging me, for getting a gazillion books marked, for my trousers drying off quickly after getting soggified in the rain, for dd being so chuffed to see me when I arrived home, for headspace, for lovely colleagues.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

I'll do October, unless anyone has any brilliant ideas. Will help keep me on the straight and narrow.
Today was difficult. Set the alarm for 6am (3 hours sleep) then after 45 mins, I checked and food is coming tomorrow (switched because delivery is free Tu, Wed, Thurs). Some sleep but more dozing (not going into deep sleep). Struggled to get myself ready for going to mum's (was gearing up to have a talk about depression - she really doesn't understand).
Spendy day as only chocolate would do - bought some for mum too.
Watched a film then poured myself into painting clothes and went out to tackle the fence posts. Mum stopped me when I got to the corner (she never goes round the side so she doesn't think those ones need painting - will wait till Spring). Did the sealant round the meter cupboards and the post box whilst I was in my painting clothes. 5pm by then so made food.
I am at home tomorrow - lots of paperwork that I haven't got round to sorting. Feel like I have been 'fightng fires' all month, never really got on top of things let alone one step ahead. Then I am madly busy all the way through till Saturday.
Today I am grateful for getting out of bed (one of those days when it seems like a big achievement and I did it twice), for doing most of the fence post painting (some to do inside the yard) and for chocolate. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
mothernerd , thanks for offering to do October. I'll be your plan B. Don't mind doing another month in case you're not feeling great or up for it in the end.
This is probably the first month where I ran the challenge and didn't throw the towel in half way through :T. Managed budgets etc much better.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250
