Talking down the market

Still obsessing mr.broderick?
After several years of the Government, TV, mass media, estate agents, banks and solicitors (and arguably millions of homeowners) talking up the market to dangerous levels, potentially threatening the stable future of this country, are you really so irked by a dozen people on an internet forum taking an opposing view?
Tragic, yet funny :THi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
The bitterness from property bulls is only a natural reaction. Ask most people what value thier home has risen to and they cant help but grin when they answer. These free pennies from heaven as far as they are concerned are pretty much in the Bank.
Talk of taking away thier stash and of course some hostility will ensue.
Those with B2Ls love to brag at any gathering. Some do it in an understated Miss Marple fashion, but bragging it remains. "I have a few properties" ergo, "Are'nt I a clever person, some struggle for 1 property, and here's lille - ole me with 6".
I too had UK B2Ls but I never became smug and self satisfied. Almost anyone can get a B2L, all it takes is a double jab of head in sand linctus.
The real investors out there are waiting, this is the point the "properdee only goes up, init" crowd mis. For them there are never downs, only ups.0 -
as i said on another thread:
i don't try and talk the market up, as with other people i'm allowed an opinion am i not.
i know the madness needs to stop, just hoping it holds out for a year or so more, so i can cut & run, and travel the world with my "equity"
at this moment in time, i don't really care what house prices do, but as with balderick just sick of the numerous same thread, started by the same people containing the same sources, quotes, links, etc etc.
plus i do find it amusing the desperation in the posts of people hoping HP's crash and they think if they can convince 100 people on an internet forum then the market is gonna crash.
we all know what should happen and will most likely happen, but we do not control the craziness of the property market.0 -
i know a family who sold of their property in singapore as they planned to buy another house in the UK. They were convinced that the house price will only keep going up and the shortage of houses will prevent any chance of falling.0

You are clearly deeply vexed about this so lets get to the bottom of it. There are 24 threads on page 1. Please give me 3 threads from this page that are causing you anxiety.0 -

If they can convince 100 people on this site, the news would spread on average to another 10 people each.
So that news would reach to over 100,000 people.
(Stats from a company training course) lol0 -
Actually my sums maybe out! lol0
