  • Evening.

Nearly did some housework until a mate and his wife rescued me. Endured [strike]the 7th circle of Hell[/strike] Prim*rk in order to get a couple of items of clothing that'll pass the start of term We're Going To Be Complete Arzes About Dress Code Even Though Your Job Involves Getting Dirty, Dusty and Carrying Lots of Stuff Around Because We Think It Should Be Done In a Skirt Suit and Heels for Appearances stage before they forget all about it by October once I threaten to submit a bill for ruined clothing and injury to my feet.

Came back here and talked nonsense for a couple of hours, at which point Himself decided to cook tea, so I'm sinking into a happy carb coma after lots of pasta and salad (including the two homegrown tomatoes, which means something else to declutter/compost tomorrow).

I will get around to the bathroom at some point. Honest.

Thanks for all your support - flyladies are ace :j

I will get through it because I have to!! Doesn't help that we are almost certain to have an Inspection this term too

Hats off to you Frodders (and all teachers / people who work with children)...I coped with my own but I'm not a little people fan!

Thanks. The little people are not a problem - I love being with them and working with - it's the big people (well, some of them), the ridiculous expectations and the bureaucracy. I want to TEACH not spend all my time doing admin :(

Dockyard was good - aircraft carrier is HUGE!! Had lunch out too so was back later than expected.

Washing is dry due to good weather here, some sorting and tidying done but doesn't look like much! Will do more tomorrow.

    Morning all :D

Just off to take Dad to the Dockyard so we can see the huge aircraft carrier then I really must sort some of the school stuff that's taking over my front room!

Am dreading going back - I keep telling myself it's only 14 more weeks but that seems like a very long time . . . . . .

Must come down your way again to use our dockyard tickets. Maybe try and break up those 14 weeks for you..........

One run achieved, yippee week 7 of c25k complete. Still hate running.
Lots of bags of garden waste and miscellaneous old decluttered stuff from around the place taken to tip.
    Friends visited.
One load of washing done, 2 dry lots folded and put away.
Phone call made to step-sis to see how other step-sis, widowed last week, is getting on
Er - where did the rest of the day go?

I have just completed and submitted my assignment with 3 hours to spare :j :j :j
I didn't get much sleep last night, and it feels like I've been working almost non-stop all [STRIKE]week[/STRIKE] summer, so we are taking DGD1+2 and Rosie out for lunch on the hills :D then DS1 and DDiL1 are coming to join us all for tea :D:D

I shall shut the door on my RoD for 24 hours and will probably just sleep or catch up with LLF and WDYTYA all day tomorrow! I need to replenish my stock of spoons. Will be back flying next week.

JoJo, you have made me LOL this week and helped me maintain my sanity, even if you were losing yours - thank you :T
And roundtuit, I hate slugs too, especially the enormous orange ones like the one I nearly trod on last night

8 days to go before we're off on holiday. Honey Bear, what are you doing in the week beginning Monday 11th September?

(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, especially to froddington, pigpen and katiecat xxx
  • Oh, will this week ever end?

Himself has volunteered to assist another mate to get 'a small piano, only about 175kg' up three flights of stairs into his flat tomorrow morning. Roughly estimating the combined weight of the current volunteers we have somewhere in the region of 162kg of musical twattage.

Apparently, it'll be fine because they have lifting straps and ropes already sorted.

I'm going along. Partly to provide video coverage of the [strike]debacle for insurance purposes[/strike] event - and partly because my First Aid Certificate is the most current.

Yikes Jojo, but your post did make me laugh! Good luck with the filming; please don't get squashed by pianos and twattage.

*Healing vibes* for Pigpen's OH's mum if she had her surgery on Wednesday this week, and *courage vibes* if it's next Wednesday.

And am wearing some of my own jeans from storage! Size 12 *glow*

Huge congratulations on the size 12 jeans, Valli!

And humungous congratulations on the essay submitting Ionafan! That was hard fought and you won, wrestling that wordage into submission. *respect* I hope you have a lovely weekend, can catch up on your sleep, DGC and playing with Rosie. They're all much more important than your RoD or dusting. I've PM'd you.

The pears aren't ripe enough to be chutney'd so I've run the dyson around the ground floor, renewed our Resident's Parking Permit and run Kelpie's smelliest blankets through the WM. I'm back to sewing at long last; everything else can wait.
    Better is good enough.

Please - pity the woman who had to virtually rugby-tackle a Staffie at 11:00 at night (last-wee-before-bed-time) to stop said Staffie from picking up large orange slug in her mouth......:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I don't know if she'd actually have eaten it, but I really really didn't want to find out. _pale__pale__pale__pale__pale_
