Doctor has agreed that I can make a phased return to work starting next week. I've been to see the surrogate surrogate manager and she's agreed that I can go in Monday and Wednesday 8.30 to 12.30 next week, then five mornings the following week. Budgies have been fed and watered and they were all alive :T Although one did escape from the aviary (can't get out out as I make sure that door is firmly closed before I start) and had to be 'persuaded' to go back. I can pick them up, but prefer not to with adult birds as they sometimes bite and I'm a wimp :o.

Returned home to find DS's delivery has arrived whilst I was out, so my first job was to tetris the freezer to get everything in. The packaging is still strewn around the kitchen as my next job was to declutter a sarnie. Now I'm fed I'll sort out the packaging and bin/ recycle as appropriate before I WUDUPA. That'll MAD in the kitchen :).

  • Washing up done and put away. Counters definitely need a darn good scrub, though.

    Table cleared of his gibble.

Little set of Halloween lights assembled and tested, now dangling over the long mirror by the front door.

Idiot Cat retrieved from out the front where he scrambled out the front window, but didn't realise it's a significantly higher jump to get back down the slope when there's a windowbox in the way. Was slightly miffed by the way I laughed at his face appearing at the window and going back down again a few times before rescuing him, so he is now snoring on the sofa.

Floors feel dusty but CBA to deal with them in this heat.

Himself went back out to get some violin strings. He came back with them, plus some milk. And a tin whistle.

He has presented me with a chilled bottle of beer and now his mate is coming up the path.

    Save me.

I'd be quite pleased to find a free violin, I think, not that I can play it :rotfl:
  • Gorgeous day out. We got home around 5pm utterly exhausted but lots of fun was had.

Managed to run a few errands too - pick up a prescription, post office trip, bag of clothes into clothing bank, online shop booked for Friday and new PE kit ordered for DD.

Looking forward to watching GBBO tonight xx

Hugs and spoons to everyone who needs them.

No flying here as I turned the freezer off on Sunday and only realised today. So, in-between clients, I've been cooking things up and telling my hollow legged DD and DS they can eat what they like.

Tomorrow I need to refill the freezer with things that can be re-frozen now cooked and pop to the shops. Laughing at myself...just!

Several clients very happy as they were given home made cake that can't be re-frozen again. Anyone for 47 cooked sausages?

    Evening all

Pleased to read you all enjoying the lovely weather. We have had only six days without rain in August and one of those was foggy :rotfl: I sometimes feel we are living on a different planet !

    Dailies all done
Dusted all through except the LR
    Spanish lessons done
Rubbish out and recycling sorted for DH to take tomorrow

I spent three hours cooking, portioning and freezing this afternoon. Then had to have a mega clean-up, followed by WUDUPA. So decided to continue and kitchen all done except the floor - I'd had enough by then.

Hugs, spoons and sticks for those needing some
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday
