    Morning folks

All packed here. Ds2 is having a very long meltdown. I hope we still manage to go. Luckily it is a short journey.

House tidied and 2x wm done.

I'm in this week. Thank you Natty for today's listy because there's nothing on it I need to feel guilty about not doing!

Just wanted to add, sorry you came back to a mess, Valli, and that was a lovely thing to do, Piggers, about the webs while you were staying with other people. I hope it was appreciated, but I rather doubt it if the Maccy D conversation was anything to go by. Safe journey home. (((Hugs))) Dancemum. So glad you've found a way back into your horrible essay, Ionafan, and I hope today's writing goes well.
    Better is good enough.

Good morning -just! Back late last night from holidays, and it feels like I've been away from home for ages. In a good way, apart from the house is looking unloved and shabby.

I've been lurking for the past fortnight, but am definitely back in for this week. WM is already on overdrive, thank goodness for sunshine.

Hugs all round, especially to Katiecat, Valli, Ionafan and Dancemum. Sorry if I've missed anyone, but have a hug anyway. X

Ok here goes this week :D

Monday ~ HAVE THE DAY OFF AND DO SOMETHING FUN WITH YOUR LOVED ONES!!!

It is bank holiday (though not in Scotland I believe?)
    Do your dailies
    Tackle a frog or 5

And spend the rest of the day doing nice things with your family!
    I think even I can manage today's list! :D
Had a lovely walk with Cookie this morning; she was a bit nonplussed when a Beagle puppy wanted to leap on her (pup had to be picked up by her owner in order to move on) but Cookie was very good.

I've emailed the "community ranger team" re the nettles overhanging the path partway through the park - they're just at face height for someone on a mobility buggy, and cyclists are having to swerve round them, too.

I also managed to get Cookie to play a proper game of "fetch" in the garden - usually she runs after the toy (it's not actually a ball, it's a rugby-ball shaped gizmo with little rubber protrusions that make it bounce erratically) but doesn't pick it up and return with it. Today, she did; getting her to wait while I picked it up and threw it wasn't easy, but with perseverance, I think she'd learn.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Good afternoon. Popping back in again. I try every few months or so and then work gets in the way.
We are going away in October and the PIL will be looking after the pets, can't let them see the house in the state it is in!
As much as I'd love too, can't stick to today's list. DH is in bed after nights, the little ones have gone to the park, I get the lovely job of completely cleaning the kitchen, top to bottom, before the new fridge/freezer arrives tomorrow.
Also need to sort through the mountain of washing.

Have a good time to all those going away or out. So far today I've been for a run, put a load of washing on and helped Mr N paint some trellis.
Got a message from a friend wanting a house and/or horse sitter for a week at the end of the month, could be fun.
Idly read ingredients on a Lidl version of spread to find potato listed, which may explain why I feel unwell; never thought to check as assumed it to be all sunflower oil. . .

    Glorious day here today :T

I've followed today's list to some degree :D This morning I went to my friend's for coffee and Jay cuddles. Jay is a springer spaniel and gives the best cuddles ever...then lays on your feet to make sure you can't 'escape' without him knowing as he has no eyes. We all sat out in the garden - bliss.

Then I went over to feed and water another friend's aviaries full of budgies - I'm on budgie duty whilst he's in Scotland. All seemed well there; no little corpses waiting so far.(They usually seem to wait until I'm on duty to keel over, so every morning I enter the aviary with trepidation.) No attempts to escape either - there's usually one that makes a break for it at some point in the week . I watered the tomato plants and hanging baskets whilst I was there - the NN usually does that but he's maybe away as things were wilting and looking very sad :(

DS has just asked if I'll pick him up from the pub later - so I'll fill up with petrol at the same time. Sounds like a plan :)

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.

Have munched one unappetising frog and am now just about done with a second one. Hurrah!
    Better is good enough.
