Morning all.
I was awake at 5.30 and it definitely was gloomy. I think my body is trying to remind that I will soon have to get up at a decent time in the morning and get out of the house . I am resisting...
WM run and washing hanging out as it looks like the sun is trying to peek through. I have started the ascent of Mount Ironmore, but am struggling to see the foothills let alone base camp! I will persevere while deciding which room to make my Room of the Day.0 -
I took the breakfast pots in to the kitchen, forgot I'd gone in there for painkillers, and went upstairs with a pile of clean clothes from the back of the sofa. Remembered I'd gone in to the kitchen for painkillers, but cba to go back down. Marie-Konned the clean clothes into the drawers and wardrobe - just because I feel carp it doesn't mean I'm going back to dump-it-and-run, and I actually like folding
; made the beds; changed the towels in the bathroom; had a shower/ hair wash (think it's only right that the 'towel fairy' has first dibs on clean towels
); got dressed in all clean clothes (which are so easy to find in Marie-Konned drawers
) and brought down dirty washing and bin to empty.
Dumped washing in front of WM in kitchen; forgot painkillers again; wandered in to LR; went back and took painkillers :T Talk about 'senior moments'! How can you forget to take painkillers when your head is full of little men with jack-hammers trying to remind you?
So I'm now a clean grumpy Roundtuit
who has decided that after the doctor's appointment, I ought to go to Head Office before I do my budgie duties as I always come out of the aviaries covered in cobwebs and feathers. (Random thought is telling me do the budgies first, roll in the cobwebs, feathers, dust, poop, and then go to Head Office who might then decide they don't want me back:D Rum chap that 'Random thought' - he'd soon get me in to trouble!!!)
Right: doctor's next. And breathe .....

A VERY full-on challenging Dot has been deposited at church club along with Squeak.. she has been a prize cowbag this morning.. mean and rude and obnoxious and just plain vile..
My house is full of rubbish and while my head is on a mission my derriere has become VERY heavy and my body is being a stubborn 3 year old and refusing to participate in my heads clear out.. result is... nothing gets done.
is drizzling outside.. it is very autumnal and it is beautiful.. inside my house it is a freaking furnace..
Dragging girls for school shoe shopping when I pick them up .. trying to decide whether getting Twinkle some pre-walkers for morning school runs so her little trotters are warm but I am decisive as a turnip and not getting anywhere with that decision either.
Enquries sent re wedding venue... I'm not even getting married I just wondered how much it would be because I'm weird.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Tuesday ~ pick a room...
Level One
Declutter and vacuum/mop the floor
Pile up all the hotspot into one mountain and pend 15 minutes sorting through it!
Level Two
Dust and deweb
Wash soft furnishings that need doing.. throws, curtains, blinds, nets.. whatevers..
Tidy up a cupboard/drawer or other storage vessel
Level Three
Wash stinky pet bedding/clean tanks etc
Bedroom today. I've been meaning to dust and vac the room for ages and have finally got round to it, thanks flylady
Dusted my CD wheel and the CDs on it. I'd forgotten I even had some of the CDs on there!
Unfortunately the dust will be back again in about 3 or 4 days, the bedroom gets so dusty so quickly, but it looks nice at the moment!
No pets, so I did my own bedding

Mount Ironmore conquered! Nipped out to Mr C00p to get sugar for plum jam, plum chutney and anything else plum or apple that may come to mind. I only added some rolls and milk to the basket because we ARE going to get the freezer and cupboards down to a less ridiculous state of fullness. I have my mother's stockpiling tendancies, but she had her's due to living through rationing. I have no excuse.
The planned day out has been posponed due to DD not surfacing at a reasonable time. So much for her declaring at the beginning of the holidays that she was not going to waste her precious holiday by staying in bed all morning.
Right I need to get on. Dust is everywhere, but the allotment is also calling. It might be cuppa and decision time.0 -
We have exactly one item of food in the fridge. An unopened tub of coconut yoghurt.
There are a few bottles of beer (mine) a couple of cans (his) and the sad remains of my posh gin (mine all mine), but nothing to eat. I was vaguely wondering why I still have a headache.
It's a good opportunity to clean the fridge out, I suppose.
He's decided that it might be a good idea to go and get something to eat.
ETA: Aaaannnnd he's back. With a violin.
I'm sure finding it in a skip is brilliant and wonderful and clever of him.
BUT I CAN'T EAT A FLAMING FIDDLE.
He's hastily going back out.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

My 'room' today was the allotment
all red potatoes harvested (and in my car boot...)
half of whites harvested (and accidentally dropped in shed; decided to leave them there to 'dry' off (and de-soil))
two punnets of raspberries picked, rinsed and cooked to extract juice for jelly as don't want to make very 'seedy' jam. It boiled over on hob cleaned yesterday. But juice only, it'll wipe.
Got 4000000 runner beans. Neighbours have been thanking me for previous donations. So I know what to do with these then...
Got 100 dwarf beans.
Got interrogated as 'proper' allotment holders go there more frequently than I do :rotfl:
I haven't a notion what to do with these spuds...
Two loads of washing on line. Ironing mountain reaching Mount Fuji scale...Laundry mountain beginning to erode. Slowly.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Sad your hard work wasn't appreciated at the time, Piggers, but you know you can wear your halo with pride.
Volunteer shift done, and I was up and ready well before I needed to be so I nipped to Morribunds to pick up more supplies for the new chutney recipe. I'm going to finish up the old saffron I've got lying around, but I'm not buying any more. Does anyone know if a pinch of tumeric would suffice instead?
Washing up to date (hurrah!) floors not looking too shabby (hurrah!) so I'll do a bit of bed-making and bathroom fun later. But first ... chutney.Better is good enough.0
