Morning all! Sorry I've not been around this week but having been sneaking in and reading about you all and your naughtyness!!! LOL Big hugs to poorlies and hellos all!

I'm with Aimee and have had shingles too!!! Got a beautiful rash/blisters across my tummy and back - really hope it doesn't scar. Think I've had it about 3 weeks now but only just found out after finally going to docs, was wondering why I felt so cr*p and almost passed out a few times. So now DH is feeling very gulity as I've just got on with everything and then collapsed in a heap once DS is bed and he;s not helped me in anyway (just for a change). But today I've woke up feeling loads better so hopefully its going now. And Aimee big hugs - hope you feel better soon, honeslty that whole sore, itch, sore, ouch for wearing clothes does go, hugs xxx

So house not too bad after a weekend biltz, washing up to date and done the ironing while DS was in his highchair feeding himself his breakie. DS has gone back to bed so jeans from yesterdays wash on line and have put the meat and veggies in SC to make a 'Jazzy Cottage Pie'. Off out soon to mums and out for some lunch to chill out.

Had some good news this week, DH wages are now sorted and bonus due to be paid so will clear the tiny bit (but still hanging over us) of debt from moving and actually allow us to live okay now. Got a busy weekend coming up with hairdressers tomorrow, wedding saturday and DS's first party on Sunday:j so am looking foward to socialising a bit.

So when my now 1 year old:eek:   wakes up we're off out, just debating wheather to pack him some lunch or to chance it getting something out. Catch you all later, hope you have the sunshine too xx

    Baby on board!:D
  • Pigpen, your C&G thing.. It would probably go some way to showing you can work to deadlines for a qualification etc and if it's something you enjoy doing then go for it. I got into my biology-ish degree as an older student on the strength of a grade D 1 year A level in human biology, could you maybe do something like that funds and time allowing?
Tracyg, arms length hug for you and your shinglies too!

I need motivating again. I've done the bedroom and am putting off starting the next big task (still can't get in the airing cupboard but I might do that on bathroom day).
Half hour challenge anyone to get on a roll again? Paperwork maybe?

thanks solway.. it isn't the time that is an issue because I can do things like that on a night when hubby is home.. but the A-level courses here were all £300+ and I simply couldn't afford it. Mind you I have done the first year of 5 A-levels.. then DS1 was born in the following September! lol I'll think about it for a bit.. they don't need to know immediately thank goodness!!

Tiddles is now down for a nap (untik half 2) so I'll have some food.. then reload the WM's and TD's then do a spot of flinging in my pit!! I have a chest of drawers in the middle of the floor which I need to out somewhere else.. and half the room is full of junk so that can be cleared.. and hopefully I'll be able to get one of the chairs in my room into the kitchen where it belings.. I want the bridesmaid dresses on ebay today as well.. in fact.. I'll do that while I eat.. multitasking..

What is for lunch today then???

Been over to shop to pay paper bill and take the dog for a walk. She always tries to go into the vets! Strange dog.

Washing isn't really drying at all so I'm definitely not going to wash DD's sheets today, tomorrow will do.

I feel not at all well this morning... the 5am start, followed by a late evening meeting, home at 11pm, on top of the last 6 weeks... Why does lack of sleep always make me feel hungover without having had the fun of the drinking??? Not fair!

I've been asleep most of the morning, and am feeling a bit better, I may even totter about doing a little gentle flying. My airing cupboard is fine. I did it a while back, on a wet day when I was really bored, and I did the under stairs cupboard in the summer, and even decorated it. I'd really like to have kept it empty to admire, but it does now contain a few carefully selected coats and shoes! The main bedroom requires rather more time and energy than I have to spare, but I'll probably do the bed, and try to clear at least the windowsill... I think I may set myself the task of removing at least one item that doesn't belong every time I go in there, as most of the clutter isn't even mine!!

pigpen - it may be worth talking to someone at the college. Tell them what target you have in mind, and see if there is perhaps a course that may appeal to you even more, and be more helpful. I think you are absolutely right to do something that shows that you are willing and able to put in the effort. I'm sure that I have read recently that there is funding available for adults to study, but can't remember the details.
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be

Serena.. the college do a foundation level biology which is 1 year but 15 hours a eek during the day the C&G is an evening and 3 hours a week, I would be able to start at level 2 so it would still only be a year but unrelated to what I'd want to do long term though cheaper in tge short term.. Oh I can't decide.. see I told you I'm undecisive.. I am really bad
