Well after trying to play catch up this week and everything seeming to get in the way of my flying, I've finally had to admit defeat on this week's list. I've managed to do 3 loads of washing today (1 dry, 1 in TD, and 1 on airers), as well as go into town to get a new HMV card so that I get student discount online for xmas pressies (got a £12 voucher from Test and Vote to use), done the meal plans for the week and gone to 3 different supermarkets to get it all (the third was for my elderly neighbour who has a penchant for Cookie Crisp cereal, and they don't do it in our Mr T, so had to go to Sainsburys). Finally sat down to cheese on toast for lunch at 4.30pm, and now have a stinking headache and feel quite wobbly. I'm cooking veggie spaghetti bolognese for dinner tonight so will have to go and see what I can manage to get done in advance (OH is out shooting at his gun club so we won't be eating til gone 9pm).

Hugs to everyone who needs them, and I promise to be a better flymouse next week when the new list is up.

    Sexymouse xx

PS, I bought some dryer balls after your recommendation pigpen (£3 in Mr T) and they are great - our TD was not drying things as well recently so I thought it worth a go, and the amount of water in the container at the end has doubled. Thanks for the tip.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

embb if I didn't have to wait in for a bed getting delivered tomorrow morning I would have come and took you for it. They've rang yesterday and said will be any time from 7am to 3pm which is about as much use to me as a chocolate fireguard so I've asked for the driver to call when they are an hour away then make the 12 mile dash to the house. Why not do what I do and ask DP for the taxi fare :D seems to work here, he'd rather take me than dip his hand in his pocket! You could ask the garage to tax it for you and then they'll have that journey to make instead of you, downside is it adds another owner onto the documents unless you give them your covernote to do it or ask them nicely to take you..

Done much more than I planned, took the car FULL (so that it fell out when I got there FULL) over the house which I was packing as I filled. Also took 2 sets of drawers so can take clothes for boys over and unpack as I go. DPs brother came over so we thought great, pick up, we'll get the trampoline in there :D as it wouldn't fit in the car, so took that to bits and that is now up next to the other one at the new house (DP and his brother rebuilt it) DSs footy goals built, they're using the summer house for their toys which DS2 took great pride in helping with, apart from him having a hissy fit saying he needs to vacuum it as there is lots of spiders.

Roof felt now on the shed and a lock so DP has now evicted everything that isn't his like lawnmower, garden stuff etc into the shed. I managed to vax ours and DS2s rooms, still not perfect but will do for now, ewww the muck that came out, disgusting, and they'd supposedly been recently proffesionally cleaned, my ar*e! Tidied the kitchen up and unwrapped all the new things :D shiney, newwww, nice! Got rid of the packaging from DS1s bed.

Sorry rambling on to myself aren't I, I'll see you all on the new thread. DPs naffed off to work for an extra shift so more packing for me, again, saying that he doesn't help when he's here :rotfl: oh need to do more plastering aswell. after Top Gear of course which DP is missing so I'll phone him and tell him what he's missing, I'm nice like that!
One day I might be more organised...........

  • DH had a good clean downstairs for me while i did bathtime. he swept the laminate, hoovered the rug, rolled the rug up, mopped all of the dining/living room, pulled out furniture and did under that.

he also went and bought charlie some of those kiddie plates and bowls while i took him to the birthday party, and forgot to pick us up, but i forgave him for that as i twigged he was looking for an anniversary pressie and had lost track of time.

Have just had a fairly healthy and quick tea made by me - poached salmon, new potatoes, and baked beans. DH then made tinned apricots with custard, as he knows i have a bit of a thing for custard while pregnant. At least i have kept it all in today which has got to be an improvement.

so, the house is starting the week looking a bit fresher, and i just have to maintain and put some stuff away and it shouldn't be too hard to do tidying up next week for the party.

anyway, school work is high priority now while DH watches top gear, and then i will be trying to be in bed before ten. See you all tomorrow. x
