yeah, i may as well get them and if they don't fit me, my sis etc i can re-sell them. i haven't had a response to the message i sent her about postage costs so i will wait for her to send the invoice then do it. grrrr, i should have been more careful!
on the plus side have just ordered thanks presents for mum and MiL2b for the wedding in debanhams sale, got a free delivery code as well. one more thing done!
my friend upset / annoyed me a bit last night by saying that i don't seem v excited about getting married just bogged down with the detailsi think i am doing well considering all i have to think about - new town, job, wedding to plan, finding a job, etc etc! it's all quite daunting as well!

Rach- ignore that comment, it's a lot to take on/sort out at one time, you are doing very well, much more than others deal with if getting married and already living in the same place etc, is she married ?
Good news, Matthew eventually this evening accepted a feed, one at 6pm then one at 9pm, his Mam in high spirits as there is a little one just come through the op he needs and is on their ward recovering well now so good to have something positive there, Daddy seems better for seeing that aswell, they can see for themselves now that they can come through the other side fighting, hopefully be a chance for her to talk with that little ones parents about it etc aswell. We even had a little laugh about that she's getting out of the night feeds as the nurses have taken over with those, still I know she'd prefer to be doing them and back home with baby.
With the long call to my friend and DP popping home from work for a bit haven't got the freezer done yet, stuff it, so happy with the good news it can wait until morningOne day I might be more organised...........

that's great news lil_me
you must be so relieved. will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
no, she's not married, hence i am careful talking about wedding stuff to her. i kind of felt a bit like i can't do anything right as i'm sure if i went on and on about the wedding/marriage to her that would be upsetting. anyway, best to have the chat i guess.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
:rotfl: see she hasn't got a clue what it involves, bitter aswell maybe, just ignore it. If she's just showing genuine concern that you seem tired/exhausted etc because of the wedding and other things you have on then maybe she's just being a good friend. I can tell by some of your posts that at times it is getting a bit much and have been worried about you aswell. At times like this when you are stressed out etc it is easy to take things others say wrong, too much to heart or pressume they mean bad things by it. Try not to dwell on it too much. One day I might be more organised...........

thanks. i know i have been stressed out and sometimes i can't see the wood for the trees but i can't be the only person like that! i might just edit my above post just in case someone sees it who shouldn't! i am sure she is just being a good friend - she is fab! just i htink its easy to think how ecstatic you would be in the situation i'm in, of course when you're in it, exciting as it all is, in many ways it is just a project to organise!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

I've never really been keen on getting married because of the stress involved
just isn't appealing to me. I think I'd be happy until I had the list of things to organise to write out, then I'd be sick as a chip and just wanting it over with. Due to her Mam hurting herself my friend had to cancel her wedding 1 week before, she went through hell planning a wedding not once but twice within a year, put me off completely!
Hmm suppose I should get the dogs out for tiddles then got to bed, more packing tomorrow  something else which excited me until I got bogged down with it, now just wish it was over! One day I might be more organised...........

i can understand that lil_me, we keep saying it is all about the marriage not the wedding, i think its important to keep that in mind. we're both pretty good at organising events and OH is a finance manager so has done a great spreadsheet. i can't believe how much some people spend! obscene!
nightnight, i should go to bed too. taking the hrvest festival in the morning!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Moooorning. Uuuugh been up since 6 o clock to see DS off to his Tae Kwon Do competetion- The British championships, so hope he does well.
Have had numerous mugs of tea and a bowl of rice crispies in an attempt to become human. Have so far sorted washing, put away shopping, cleared away tea things and loaded dishwasher - all things I should have done yesterday but spent the time on here updating spending diary which I hadnt done for the last month! Oh and iron mountain is still there minus one TKD suit.
Think I'll just throw on some clothes and do some flying and will shower before I have to go to work at lunchtime.
See you all later
Uh Oh DD's up !!!Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Good morning, I don't feel human at all, woken by a son with a bad tummy, urgh!
Fingers crossed for your son Kaz, wow British Championships he must be good!
More packing to do today, just cleared through a huge box of junk I found in a cupboard, only kept half a small box from it so happy with that. Thinking what else I can do downstairs as DP will be in bed until 12. Oh yes, the freezer! One day I might be more organised...........

good luck to your son Kaz - hope he does well.
lilme you are always up late and then get up early - and very busy inbetween - don't forget your ME time!
Oh and great news about baby Matthew - I know when DS was in SCBU the best time was when they would let me take him out and cuddle and breastfeed him on the second day - he needed the oxygen too much before that and had to be drip fed through his nose - poor baby.
Hope you feel ok this morning rach - you seem to have lots of worries at the moment - just try and look forward to the wedding and let the little things pass you by!! (that is not advice I would be good at taking myself though lol!)
Well jobs done (been up since 5.30 with DS) - 1 wash load, 1 pile of ironing, BM on, kitchen clean.
Have a good Sunday everyone xx0
