Oops, was just about to write a morning greeting! :o

Downpours thunder and hail here this morning. Kiddies wanted me to "rescue" the furries from the hutch so we brought them into the conservatory where they have been bickering over a paper bag full of hay (furries, not kiddies, lol). End result is that girl pig got in the bag and sat on all the hay while boy pig bit holes through it :D very entertaining.

LR all good, only throngs I can see that don't belong here are a box of Hama beads - DDs but they are all put away not strewn everywhere, and the pens and paper she is currently using.

Just had a bit of a  moment about kids car seats in the hire car - checked out Spanish regulations and they both need boosters! The car hire place charges €8 per day per seat  however we can apparently take our own and leave them at the airline bag drop. Think I have my poor dad a bit of a fret till we found out what was what. Talk about leaving it till the last minute!

Want to pop out for birthday cake supplies when the kids are dressed... Plus prescription and parcel to collect!

    Afternoon my lovelies :D

Thank you Honey for the list, and well done on your first list :D

WB Mudders, wow is Stripes really 9 years old, I too remember when you got her. Nice to see you returning to the fold :D

I have to tell you my flyladies, and I'm sure you will all sympathise with me. I had a disaster on Sunday concerning the whirly gig. I went to put the washing on the line and it snapped in two - washing everywhere..lol. On inspection it had basically rusted all the way through as had the spike in the ground too. Although it hadn't done too bad after 25 years - I remember when we bought it as it was a lovely pink one that we bought from Argos in Dartford and poor DH had to carry it to the car park... Bless him. Well as you can see I was devastated.. So off we toddled to Wilko's and ended up buying a £45.00 one.. DH was horrified..lol But it's a super dooper one :D I think he was more horrified as he had just spent a whopping amount on a new mattress on Saturday...lol

DH didn't understand why I was so bereft at my old line dying... But I know you all will.. :D

I managed to do all my housework on Monday as we were getting a delivery of the mattress and the men would be entering my house. So I went round and did everything that needs doing. I was pleased too especially as my cleaner couldn't make it on the Tuesday :D Am not going really going to be doing too much today as I have toothache that is making me grouchy..lol I think I'll do some ironing later on and use my new whirly gig...lol

Hugs and spoons to everyone xxx

I think you must have had your money's worth over 25 years :D
I hope it is now restored in whirlygig heaven and being used to dry the angels' robes :A :A :A

DH has phoned me!!!! He can now walk short distances. They are thinking of sending him out, but (thank goodness) he wants to stay in until the weekend.

I have written 2 more paragraphs of my essay: now need to cut it down to size

Welcome aboard Grandmasue; I think you'll like it here. Many of us, myself included, have health issues, so we'll know exactly where you're coming from.
Baby steps - the lists are not orders, they are there as encouragement and ideas; and don't forget to pace yourself (says she who is totally incapable of pacing herself).:o

Lounge today, hey? Ours is now all in apple pie order (CBA to copy'n'paste as I'm on the laptop not the desktop today and it's more fiddly as some of the keys are a bit hit and miss cos it's ancient).
I have disposed of the flowers that Mr LW bought a couple of weeks ago, as they've finished, and moved the flowers from Cookie's owner from the mantelpiece to my desk. :D

Talking of Cookie, she'll be back on Friday, for her main holiday. :T

Well it was supposed to say "things" lol not sure what happened there! Haha

Glad your DH seems to be improving xx

Errands run, meds collected, parcel collected, icing bits also arrived and we've got the cake, just need to make the topper, she wants "Little Mix" :( what a horrible thought! I've bought icing cupcake toppers that I'll stick round the outside, and I'm going to make a fondant microphone for the top. When she's not looking ;)

No other plans for rest of the day, will stick some spuds in to bake, wipe around kitchen and head upstairs with my duster :D

Is it cheaper to buy a seat while over there than pay the total of €16 a day?

Ok Bossy put me out of my misery, what is "Little Mix"?

I think Mr LW has given up for the day; he is once again SOADFA (well, he's got "I Robot" on the DVD player). I do honestly wish he'd get himself a hobby - preferably something to take him out of the house for - say - one day a week. I'm worried that he's just sitting around here vegetating. :(

I've done a bunch more online surveys (and got a small amount of cash in via Paypal from one of the survey companies).

Not sure what to do for dins tonight - I really do need to get back to proper meal planning, it seems to have gone out of the window since Mr LW retired.

Pigpen absolutely yes. It's bonkers, even though we only need the car seats for 7 days, my dad hired the car for 3 weeks, as they don't come home when we do. So it's technically 21 X 8 X 2  although they very kindly cap it at €98 per seat :rotfl: or we can take our own and put them in the bag drop with pushchairs / golf clubs / skis for £0 as each child seat can take one baby item free.

LW they are a pop group - and they wear very skimpy clothes and my DD will be 7 hence we are compromising and I've just made a fondant microphone for the top. Win win.

Tis warm and sunny here. Think we've had all the weather here today :p

    Hi all

House is very messy -trying and failing not to stress. DH is doing some DIY and we still have stuff everywhere after having bedroom carpet fitted.

Bossy like Pigpen says I would try and get hold of a couple of cheap boosters seats then if they dont make it home it doesnt matter. And yes, Little Mix, what can you do?! Thankfully at that age they dont really listen to the song lyrics.

More paid stuff to do. DH is in charge of feeding us (plus one girlfriend I think). Have just had a cuddle from DS1 which was nice, even if he stinks of horses!

    Right, laptop, concentration time.

Oooh just thought, Natty I was sad when my slow cooker died because it was a second hand gift from a work colleague and it was older than me.

    Work ....

I am a silent reader here but I had to comment. Thanks so much for the link to the priority services register. I had no idea it existed. For anyone who has used this do I put my details on the register or my son's? He's 6 and is registered disabled. Again, thank you so much for the link.
