Welcome GranmaSue! *Healing vibes* for you, and a (((hug))). If you can achieve Level 1 even one day a week, next week it'll be a little bit easier, and then the following week a little easier until one day you realise it's not a tip anymore. I speak as someone who is still, four years in, trying to tame this disaster area. Whatever you achieve is progress, isn't it?

Thanks for the heads up about Martin's Newsletter Ionafan. It feels a bit unfair, my first week, when Valli and Natty have done all the work recently.

Putting three things away in the Room of Doom every time I go in there is the only way to tackle a room where absolutely everything is chaotic; it's overwhelming otherwise and disheartening. So far this week I've managed to clear my desk and am now working my way through the filing. If I get just that done in there this week I'll be a very happy Flylady. The floor can wait until next week if necessary.

You sound much more positive and realistic about what you can achieve essay and husband-wise. I know you'd never, ever think, 'I'll just shove any old thing down as long as I've got something to hand in' but sometimes that really is the only thing and the best we can do. So glad Mr Ionafan is on the road to recovery.

Sorry about your washing line, Natty. No matter how sparkly, when you've had something that useful for that long somehow new ones just aren't the same.

I'll admit to not being able to keep up with the list myself this week. I cleared paperwork on Monday because I've got a new voluntary role to start tomorrow and I'm supposed to sound as though I know what I'm talking about, so it was research, condense and learn after dealing with other urgent paperwork, and I need to finish it by my first shift at 10.00 am tomorrow morning. Yesterday I just wasn't up to anything, today has been frantic-race-around day and I have to go to Dartmouth to meet a friend tonight and I'm exhausted - largely because I got up early to do Flying for a couple of hours to do Monday's list this morning. I still have the fridge to do, but that was only the list because I NEED to do it.

Well done Lamewolf on finishing the putting away in your Room of Doom. You are, without doubt, Super-Flylady of the Week.
    Better is good enough.
  • Bossy - I have a spare booster cushion seat that you are more than welcome to take with you xx

I had a nap :o felt so jaded after work. Had a call from an upset elderly relative - did my best to cheer her up but one of those situations where not much can be said without sounding futile.

About to feed kiddies. I have a sitter booked for tonight so I can go out for some food and laughs - love my children to the ends of the earth but I am so over the school holidays now. DH, meanwhile, seems to be living it up working away, having meals out every night

    Have lovely evenings all xx

Bossy - re car seats, we've taken boosters and left them in the hire car for the past few holidays abroad. We've either used old ones of ours ('advantage' of 4 children) from grandparents or my cousin gave us a couple she no longer needed. We bought a cheap one (£8) from Halfords the one time too. I normally pack them in suitcases and then we have heaps of room for on the way back :D Only DS3 still needs one now - we have 2 old ones in the garage and will be taking one and leaving it when we go to Portugal in Oct. Tbh, our old ones we leave have been in better condition looks wise than some we have hired in the past!

Eeek I need to get back into reading the threads and remembering who to reply to. Here goes...
BossymooLove the thought of your g-pigs arguing over a bag of hay. I really miss it now my daughter no longer has any
NattyI know...9 years and still stupid. Ran through a barbed wire fence a few weeks ago and had to be stapled. The vet didn't even need to sedate her...they just fed her and she didn't notice the staples going in! Condolences regarding the whirlygig...really must use mine more!

Next time I go missing from this site you all have permission to hunt me down. In 3 days my house looks cleaner than it has in years! The only mad moment was when I was using the broom to sweep cobwebs from the ceiling...yes it was bad! DS came in with his girlfriend and looked at her and said 'don't worry about mum, she often mistakes for ceiling for the floor'. He said it with a straight face so she probably believes him!

I am a silent reader here but I had to comment. Thanks so much for the link to the priority services register. I had no idea it existed. For anyone who has used this do I put my details on the register or my son's? He's 6 and is registered disabled. Again, thank you so much for the link.

I've not used it myself but I would think yours / the name the bill comes in xx (and welcome, you are now officially de-lurked, so hi!)

Thanks for all the booster suggestions, isn't it mad. We'll take our own.

Brilliant idea, Mudders! Impressive - I've got a bit of catching up to do, haven't I?!

Listy up for tomorrow for those of us who haven't got any commonsense - count me in. Nice one Piggers.
