Thank you; I've gone through the first module, which was all about canine evolution, and how dogs separated from their wolf ancestors; it looks to be very interesting, and hopefully will put some logic behind stuff that I seem to know instictively, if that makes the slightest bit of sense. :o Anything that helps with making my canine guests stays with me better has to be a good thing, no?
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Well done on the course LW, sounds interesting. DS is doing an apprenticeship in equine management and learning about horse behaviour which is fascinating. I can understand why he loves this job, except for all the shovelling horse poo that he does!

Didnt know soda crystals was good for drains. I use bio washing powder followed by a squirt of bleach but soda crystals are probably gentler.

Tired this morning, DS2 was in late so I was late to sleep. But both jobs today and maybe the gym in between. Will give the bathroom a bit of attention later.

Anyone else getting slightly on edge for GCSE results tomorrow? Cant believe this has come around so quickly.

Lots to get done today, especially seeing as I am out part of tomorrow - must get on :)

Morning all. So far I've managed the bits from the list that I wanted to do / were relevant to me. Flying is a lot easier now the littlies are no longer little and I just have to fit it in around work.

Pigpen...sounds like your life is still rather full! Hope the holiday was fun!

  • Hi,
I'm new here, but definitely need to start flying!
I've had to take a medical retirement, and haven't touched the dreaded housework for a whole year after an operation that was supposed to put me right but actually went wrong, and so now I am in constant pain. I have very limited energy, but want to start to tackle things slowly, so I hope the support of this group will help. I have a whole house of Doom, not just the one room, so it will be slow progress!
I like the idea that the house didn't get like this in a day/ (year!) so it will take that long to get right. It has become overwhelming, but today is the day I shall start.
Thanks for the list. I shall try to do Level one.

The Flylady thread has made Martin's Money Tips newsletter :j :j :j

Welcome Grandmasue  Baby steps is the way forward, and Honey Bear's suggestion on Monday to put away 3 things each time we enter our RoD is brilliant. Try not to look on your whole house as a giant Room of Doom but rather a series of smaller problems with achievable solutions, and perhaps concentrate first on the room you spend most leisure time in, or the one you want to invite visitors into. It will soon make a difference :)

Today I have brushed the dog, emptied bins, WUDUPA, cleaned the ensuite and S&S'd bathroom and kitchen.

My RoD is still awful, but I need a lot of the loose paperwork for my assignment. I'm still struggling with that, but now that DH is recovering (albeit very very slowly) and no longer "critical", with his encouragement I am only going to visit him in the evenings and will concentrate on submitting something - anything - by the deadline of 31st. My personal tutor is apparently away on annual leave until 30th, my local supervisor knows the situation and will fight my corner, and I will simply do the best I can under the circumstances. Now, if I need to have a sleep during the day, I will. There is only so much that a body and brain can take.

Off to shower, S&S bathroom, dress, make :coffee: (anyone else like to join me?) and then try to write until Rosie starts pestering me to go out for a walk.

    (((Hugs))) all round x
