Had a ride in a colleagues Fiesta ST. Went very well indeed, and full of toys, but useless around here, the ride is appalling, pretty much had to hold my manly belly to stop it vibrating.
It needs a proper flat surfaced road, or tyres with some sort of sidewall.....
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

I wouldn't go back to having a "quick" small car for every day use. You get bullied to hell in a small car and the speed just turns bullying into road rage.

Recommendation? If they're your "cup of tea" then possibly, I'm not into small cars so I wouldn't have one. I must admit though, it has the "grin" factor :D
He's only had it a few days so we'll see how it fares when it comes to reliability.

It has a firm ride but it's not harsh considering it's on 225/35 tyres & 18 inch wheels.
I've never been in a Fiesta so can't compare.

He originally wanted a Civic type R & test drove a couple but the insurance was more than double the VXR quote. He reckoned the civics ride was harder.
Also looked at a Renault sport Clio but was put off by the build quality, he said it felt cheap. Went well though.
