Your smoking affects other people's health. Eating nuts on a plane could potentially result in another person's death. Someone else's allergy may inconvenience you slightly, but will do you no harm.

Yet you say that people with allergies are full of their own self importance?

Non smokers have the option to go where smoking isn't allowed, so it's up to them if they are in a smoking area. So not a good comparison.

Smokers also have the option to go where they can't smoke e.g. on a plane.
If you are a smoker (as you say you are) and choose to fly, it shouldn't be too much for you to 'suffer' without eating nuts too.

As I've said, I personally don't care about nuts, it's the fact about 1 person wanting hundreds of others to refrain from something just to suit them.

Regarding smoking, I've just returned from Crete, where smoking is permitted in probably over 90% of pubs. Some only allow smoking in the front more or less outside area, most allow it throughout.
A family was in such a pub complaining about people smoking around their kids. They decided to take the kids into a smoking pub and rightly got shot down in flames. BTW, their kids were pug ugly, so a smoke screen stopped you having to see them.

    Congratulations! :T
You've just proved yourself to be the troll other posters suggested you were.

And asking other passengers to not eat nuts is not 'just to suit themselves' - it's to potentially save their lives and save the rest of the passengers a substantial delay in a divert situation.

But I'm sure you knew that already before you started this phoney 'vent'. :p
  • How many people with a severe heart condition risk air travel?
I do. Quite regularly. And I fart nuts as well!

Yes, I do smoke. If smoking was still allowed on planes, then smoker or not, I would accept that sitting next to the cigar chain smoker is at my risk.

OK, "Suffer" was probably too strong a word.

Yes, I am an absolute c***.

Well, passive smoking kills 600,000 a year, including 165,000 children, says WHO and that was in 2010. It'll be less now because of the sensible bans on planes and pubs and offices etc.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

I'm sure the OP won't care about any of those 165,000 children if they are 'pug ugly'.

It's not ignorance, it's a vent. But thanks for your opinion.

An ignorant vent. Do you really not care about making people ill ?
