great idea about the wine, everybody ;) I have half a bottle left over from last night so am about to get stuck into that

How does that happen? We never get half bottles left over in our house. Must be some sort of evaporation thing up here. :D

    Anniestar - hugs to you

Off to bed now. Got a killer sore throat. I've been struggling with an horrendous cold for the last fortnight and I think now it has officially beaten me. Got a book and some knitting but I don't think it'll be long until I'm in the land of nod.

Need to be well for a day with DD tomorrow. I read somewhere recently that if kids were born at the age of 3 then the human race would have died out. DD is 3 at the end of november and I thoroughly agree with the sentiment.

take care all. I'm forgoing the wine in favour of a snuggly duvet and a squashy pillow. You can have my share (and it's not often you'll hear me say that! )

Peem, I know, it didn't quite seem natural ;) You'll be pleased to hear that it isn't there any more :D

(In all seriousness, it's because I like a drink most evenings and as I live on my own, a whole bottle each time is bad news for my liver, my waistline and my bank balance ;))

    Evening everyone,

Not posted on here for a couple of days, but I have been reading through.
Hugs to Pen Pin, there are some nasty people about and there really is no need for it. So pleased that have kept on posting.

There must be something around at the moment, as we had lamb for dinner also, almost every post I read mentioned lamb. Slapped wrists for me though, we had no mint sauce.....

Just put a batch of brownies into the oven, the recipe was from Mr Badexample's thread. Was going to do some of Twink's hobnobs, but I'm almost of syrup and I couldn't find where they has hidden it in Sainsburys when I called in there yesterday...don't usually shop there, the bargains were n't up to much, yellow stickered stuff was only reduced by about 30p if that.

    Hugs to those in need.

    Evening All

    (((Anniestar)))

Very late post from me today and am ashamed to say Ive had an extremely lazy day. Was out for ds football this morning, unfortunately we lost (we have moved up a league) and he was very disheartened.

Hardly spent any money at the party last night where we did have a good time, so decided to treat ourselves to a chinese buffet lunch which was lovely.

This afternoon have chilled on the settee, at the moment we are all watching a video about Chelsea football club - still missing Jose.

Will definately have to make up for it tomorrow, loads and loads of paperwork and ironing.

Enjoy the last bit of the weekend.

Oh and Amie I treated myself to GU chocolate souffles today - they were delish - have a few of their ramekin dishes in the cupboard.

Hi everyone. Just returned from the memorial do for a friend of ours who died 3 years ago from a massive heart attack
His brilliant wife managed to raise about £3000 which is amazing. My cards made about £50 so I was chuffed.

Will post properly tomaorrow as it is so late but special wishes to anniestar -- so sorry to hear your sad news. Life is so hard sometimes. I am thinking of you and your family
Try and do a good deed every day.
