Morning all
Hugs all round cos I'm in a happy mood
(But no kisses as I still can't shift this sore throat
) Hope those who tried to get back to sleep managed it too.
I'm sat in bed - boys have had their brekkie as have I (muesli and tea) and I was hoping to be abe to watch the GP on my lappy but it's one of those progs that ITV don't show "live"
Never mind - I'm watching the news instead.
EEEEKKKKKK - I have just heard the news about Lewis Hamilton as I am typing!! Ah well.
Today I need to do 3 tonnes of ironing - I'll wait till the boys go off to church cos the ironing board is in Mr TM's room (I use that term very loosely you understand) Need to change my bedding and clean my room too but did the rest of the house yesterday (except his room/en suite
Mind you - as a man I don't think he realises how much it smells in there
)
Did lots of xmas shopping yesterday - it's not that I usually get it done and wrapped by halloween, it's just that I was reading through a mailing from a cash and carry I go to and saw loads of stuff for the boys. (That reminds me - it's all covered up in the boot of the car so best hide it BEFORE I do the ironing
) It's going to be a Doctor Who overload on xmas day :rotfl:
So, roast chicken dinner today - I'm working my way through the freezer so have also got some ham and mushy peas out which I may eat as is for lunch or may make into soup  Nels - there's plenty for you if your neighbours are fed up of you by now
Right - hope you all have a lovely day.
Smokeybabe - good to see you and those pics back.
Pen-Pin - chin up chuck and special ((hugs)) to you.
MATH - you ever going to get on msn or won't those pesky kids let you have PC access in the evenings? :rotfl:
See ya all

Morning All
Just had a lovely bacon roll and cup of tea for breakfast - yum. Off to church at 9.30am then friend dropping her cat off with me for a week of cat sitting.
I have a foreign student arriving this evening (Spanish) for four weeks - certainly helps from the money point of view and so far they have all been really nice people.
Got loads of gardening done yesterday and enjoyed the theatre last night - The Importance of Being Ernest (with Penelope Keith).
Hugs to all who need them today.:A

Morning everyone.
Ds fell out of bed at 6 this morning and no chance of getting him back to sleep so have been up pottering around (hes fine by the way).
Loads to do today - especially ironing. Have also got to catch up with the cleaning. My parents and grandparents are coming round on Tuesday for my birthday so place needs to be spotless (mum will still find fault lol).
See you all later hope everyone has a lovely Sunday x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Morning all. Seeing as I have time thought I should show my face. Still in middle of sorting things to move (final moving day is 2 weeks today
) packing and unpacking at new house most days, driving me mad now. Today will be the most challenging so far, the boys rooms, negotiating with them that they really don't need all the broken toys, that they are too old for some of the stuff, that some is just junk etc.
Hope you all have a lovely day, hugs to those who need/want oneOne day I might be more organised...........

Good morning everyone,
Just wanted to add my support to PP - why someone is cowardly enough to send nasty PMs i will never know - ive seen things that have upset me before, but rather than send a message or comment, i ignore it. I dont enjoy reading that someone is ill, or having a bad day, i would much rather the world was a happy healthy place, but life isnt like that, so if i, or anyone else can then post a hug or kind word, then that can make a huge difference to someones day (it has helped me BIG TIME in the past) so i hope PP and anyone else carries on posting exactly what she wants, because if it helps her get through her day knowing that people out there care, then that shows that horrible, nasty person that the community spirit here is alive and well. I was wanting her to name and shame the coward, but then i thought why post their name so we can stoop to their level and be angry with them - they know who they are, and should be ashamed of themselves!!!
PP - hope you are having a lovely time with your sister x
Smokey - nice to see you posting, had been wondering where you were!!!
JackieO - if you are reading, i hope you are ok xxx
dlb - good luck to your boys today, we are still on Saturday matches, and they won yesterday, so all happy here!!!!
Shame about Lewis Hamilton, but will make the race in 2 weeks exciting!!!
Well today, the lad up the road is going to finish my patio, and im cooking roast chicken to say thank you. Hes also brought his ladders down, cos yesterday he cleared out my guttering, and said he would clean my fasias and windows today whilst he was here - hes being great helping me with all my odd jobs, and has also said he will help knock my bathroom wall down (so i can have a big bathroom instead of a seperate toilet and bathroom) and also move the wall in DSs room so DDs room is a little bit bigger. They are only living down here until July next year, so he said anything i need help with, to ask now whilst hes still here, so its wonderful to have the help and actually get things done. ( a bottle of whisky and some meals are a very cheap price to pay, shows that there really are descent people out there!!)
Right, must get dressed before lad turns up, dont want to scare him off with me in my dressing gown and hair like ive been dragged through a hedge!!!
(HUGS) to anyone who would like, or needs one,
Have a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Good morning!!!
What a lovely day it is, no doubt influenced by the events of yesterday:D
OOh did I win the lottery? Nooo. Was I showered with gifts? Noooo. Did the scales show I'd lost half a stone? Nooooo. England won the rugby? Yes!!:j :j :j :j :j :j :j

I'm sure everyone on here is delighted, eh Aussie?
Just had my shower and am now contemplating what to do for dinner tonight. I so loved it when the boys were younger and I could always do a roast lunch in the certain knowledge that everyone would be home. Now half of them have flown the coop, and the other half come and go like will-o-the-wisps I never seem to get that option for feeding us. Reheated roast dinner just isn't the same as fresh. (Still mine would be fresh when served, do they deserve any better:cool: )
Hoping it will stay dry today so I can make a start on the Autumn clear-up. Was thinking about a total reorganisation, but bet I'll chicken out once I get out there:rotfl:
Well wet hair is still drip dripping down my neck so suppose I should go dry it now. Just seen the time, got Church soon, must fly!
(((((hugs))))) for the taking, and great to see you posting Smoky. (((((hug))) there's an extra one for Mr Smoky, bless him

morning all
just heard from kyle, 4.20am with them and dgs1 and 3 up already, Lo didnt like flying at all and they are dreading coming home with him, he had dropped a china cup and cut his foot, blood everywhere but the stewardesses were very good with him
its very warm there just now, kyles glasses steamed up coming out of the plane:D , bit scary for dh driving, they have been to a restaurant with sharks in a tank, epcot?, and walmart where they saw a little alligator on the wall outside
they have a nice pool at the villa and ds1 says the beds are lovely when i spoke to him, must say kyle sounded tired so will spur me on to have the house ship shape for when they come back, least the boys will still have a weeks holiday left
the sun is shining here now, just done a load of ironing so rewarded myself with choc biccy and cup of tea
hugs to jackie hope your wound is healing nicely now
hugs to smokybabe
love to all xx0 -
Morning all...........Have a (((((((((((((((((((HUG))))))))))))) if you need one...
Not a nice morning, dull and overcast, OH has just gone off to officiate at his last bowls comp for this season, so I have a bit of me time, which is going to be sadly lacking over the next few months.
Was doing a bit of forward financial planning yesterday and hopefully, unless something hits us with a big wet kipper, we will have cleared the OD by this time next year and be well in credit.......I can then tackle what remains on the CC which by that time will not be much........so I can then start planning our trip to Florida and the big apple...........
Chicken for supper tonight with all the trimmings, have the fruit for a crumble in the fridge, it will cook at the same time as the chicken.
I have no real plans, just went down and put the towels in the wash, will change the bed on Wednesday before we go off to house sit, hate coming back from a trip away to a dirty bed, IYSWIM..........tomorrow will see me tackle the rest of the laundry, OH will need all his white bowls stuff washing.
Watched SCD last night, was very impressed with Willie Thorn, I think he could be a dark horse????????????he needs to loose a bit of weight, but doubtless that will happen as the weeks go on, he seems more of a natural waltz, foxtrot man, but will see how he develops if he is given the chance.
Right off to have a chat with my friend and a cuppa, see y'all later.....Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
