  • Morning all

I'm looking forward to another watching sport day. What a great result for England yesterday!! Well done!! And then France last night. Here's hoping Scotland will join them (yes, I know, I havent taken my medication yet this morning)

Will watch the football this afternoon while doing the ironing. Then make a sausage/potato thing for dinner xx
  • Hi all, seem to have slept in a bit today, oops. Oh well. Had a nice evening last night with DD, she's a music teacher and had got tickets for a concert in a town a few miles away where one of her friends was playing solo cello.

It was a fabulous concert (except that the seats were ouch!hard!) and she was in her element, chatting to most of the orchestra who are her friends too. We decided as it was late to try and find somewhere to eat but the only place open in the area was a pizza place so off we went. They were closing up so it was the fastest 'fast' food I've ever eaten, but what a disappointment, the pizza was greasy and fatty and not at all like my delicious OS home made ones :rotfl: (I think it must be seven or eight years since I had a shop pizza!!).

Then I was awake half the night with heartburn (again, something that doesn't happen with MY food!). Oh well. We enjoyed our evening anyway, even if we did get hopelessly lost on the way home at midnight and ended up diverting through half of the country

Today OH has to work :( so a quiet one for us, tiptoeing about so we don't 'disturb' his [STRIKE]snoring[/STRIKE] very important writing. I'm going to sew out of harm's way and then DD and I might go out for a walk later on.

Have a great day everyone. Hugs to everyone, and also to those MIA.

    Mrs F xx
  • Good morning everyone

Been missing for a few days as I've been helping DS and DD with quite a few things for school. Hopefully we have DS's work experience sorted. Should be finalised tomorrow. :j

smoky nice to see you posting again.
Jackie O hope your wound is healing well. Please post soon.
twink glad kyle and family are enjoying themselves. Don't overdo the housework though, ok? :D
PenPin enjoy your time with your DSis and ignore the pm. Why anyone would want to send an intentionally upsetting pm is beyond me.

I'm hoping that Fiji and Scotland can do what England and France did yesterday. It would really shake things up, wouldn't it? Have to say that the ITV commentary has been woeful though. British rugby really needs another Bill McLaren for commentating. The man's love of the game shone through every time and he was always impartial because of that. Jim Rosenthal had to reminded yesterday that England weren't the only home nation left in the competition. Had to switch off after a while because it was grating on my last nerve. Sorry if I've upset anyone - it's just my personal opinion.

WM is nearly finished so washing will be hung out shortly. Then I will be making some veg soup with the stock that is defrosting. Dinner is leftover curry.

    Have a sunny Sunday. xx

    Hi everyone,
I haven't posted for ages but I do have a quick read to see what's happening in OS.
We went on holiday 3 weeks ago and although I mostly enjoyed it, I haven't been good since we got back. I should have taken my wheels. The food in the hotel was super but the thing I like most about hotels is just dropping your wet towel on the floor and it gets replaced with a lovely white clean one. Bliss!
I haven't been very OS recently, we've had a takeaway twice this week. DH will have to learn how to cook but he's very stubborn and doesn't like being told what to do. He is too impatient and can't even reheat things. They end up half cold. He made boiled eggs today and despite me telling him they weren't done he served them up and I could have been sick, raw egg!!
Anyway rant over. I was fuming about the PM sent to PP, people can be so cruel. Keep posting PP and enjoy your time with Sis.
Well wishes to Jackie and hugs to anyone who is in need.
I'm off to put a loaf, from a packet, in the BM.
Have a super Sunday, it's a gorgeous day here.

    Hello all,

Am not sure what to do today - whether to go to Mr T and stock upon Tupperware etc so I can start batch cooking....or wait until tomorrow when we are going near a Tesco anyway....

Also, I am about to make a batch of curry sauce - do I make curry sauce and freeze it, or do I make the sauce into curries and then freeze them...

    Hello,

In mourning today, after yesterday's disastrous performance by the ABs. Hubby simply won't talk about it. It will take a long time to recover: he still hasn't spoken about the 1995 loss to SA in the final!!!! I have switched allegiance to Fiji but I doubt we'll be watching any more if hubby has anything to do with it. Bad loser. At least moving house on finals day won't matter now.

Have just cooked a lentil and vege soup, and am warming up some (bought) pizza bread to go with it. It's got veges in it but has been whizzed so maybe DS will eat some. Got a bit more shopping, things that got forgotten or that they didn't have yesterday. Might go for walk later.

DH also in bad mood because he has a job interview on Friday. The company is keen but the location isn't good, it would be a long commute and we're not in a position to move. Also, he's already not sure about the people: first of all, the job description on jobsite was very different from the one the agency sent, and included things he doesn't do (but then why did the employer arrange an interview within hours?). Also, they made him do a technical test online and it was useless. On the other hand, it's the only option around at the moment, redundancy is a real possibility, so he can't be silly.

Well what a difference a day makes:T I now have what is actually starting to look like a kitchen (still unusable though) My lovely fitters have worked like trojans (and are back again today which is well impressive) so the units and worktops are pretty much in just need the utility room, breakfast bar, sink, unit doors and appliances fitting (actually quite a lot I guess:o ) will post a piccy tomorrow. (lol for the request for leg piccys - no chance these legs are mine and mine alone to enjoy:rotfl: )

My new fridge freezer arrived this morning as well and its lovely. I dont think Ive ever had so much new stuff in one go (unless you count my trips to Matalan/Primark;) ) and its real good fun - but I will be la la laaing when my bank statement arrives I guessicon9.gif

Had a lovely evening with my god daugher - we had a chippy tea then watched strictly, x factor and casulty - ahhhh heaven!!! She was shattered after working at the stables all day so we both hit the sack at 10 whereupon she fell asleep till 8 this morning and I saw every houricon13.gif not like me but I was worried in case she woke up needing a drink and couldnt navigate the kitchen!!

Anyway wonder if "the legs" need a cuppa - I imagine they do:D
